Nov 20, 2009 - Are you trying to screw with people's minds? It appears pretty real to me :)

JayAntoinette Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - No it's not fake and the reason why the brush doesn't touch until the elephant's face is out of the shot is b/c the person taping was trying to zoom in on what the elephant was doing. Honestly, human beings do not give our animal relatives enough credit. Elephants have been proven to be extremely intelligent. Their brain capacity is immense, hence the saying "An elephant never forgets."

jtking2504 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - Even if it is 'trained' to do this, are we not as humans 'trained' to do almost everything we learn from birth? We couldn't even tie our shoe laces without first being 'trained' to do so. Usually it is species who have developed sophisticated social groups who have become the most advanced. Elephants are incredibly social beings and form deep emotional bonds amongst their family groups, even how their mourn their dead is astonishing displays the depth of these bonds their intelligence.

Nov 21, 2009 - I'm amazed how many birds are left out there. Obviously, they're not on-par with, say, a dolphin, as a dolphin simply has more of a capacity, but for their size many birds (Including crows, parrots, pigeons, etc.) have shown somewhat intricate problem solving. (Such as a parrot solving a wooden puzzle, or a crow placing otherwise unbreakable nuts upon the road where they are cracked open by passing cars.)

Nov 21, 2009 - I'm from Chiangmai, Thailand, was born raised there. This work is real and I admired how smart elephants are. If you think it's fake, get on the plane and see it with your own eyes.

Nov 22, 2009 - everybody knows that this is staged right.? The mahout or the animal trainer tells the elephant what to do by pulling and nudging their ear. they really cant do this by them self but still its pretty amaizing

Nov 24, 2009 - the elephant is trained.....

jhiller21 Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - Of course he's trained, anyone who thinks the elephant came up with the idea for that drawing is retarded. It's still impressive.

nxePremium Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - they probably tortured this fucker for hours trying to train it to do this...

paigeboot Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - its so freaking fake

phil3r Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - its an elephant suit. theres like 4 guys in there or women

MElektraG Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - erm, this is a fake, sorry. the back legs bend incorrectly. two or more ppl in a suit.

MElektraG Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - the back legs have "knees". back legs in four-legged animals bend backwards (they look like elbows, but it is actually a heel, with the lower leg being a long foot and the "foot" being toes). In elephants, this is barely noticeable, and mostly their back legs stay pretty straight. But they definitely don't bend forward at the "knees".

countbleck35 Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - no, people have trained other animals to paint.

MElektraG Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - Yeah, i know they have, it's horrible just this elephant looks particularly fake to me.
