Nov 22, 2009 - nothing in this film is "real".its easy to see just try googling anything to do with the "case" and all ul get is the movie.universal faked newspaper articles to try to make it look real and settled $20,000 out of court with the nome press club.theres no real evidence to back up anything in this film,even to the point that theres nothing to suggest dr tyler and her family are actually real.its a good film and i liked it but its just a horror film like nightmare on elm street.

Nov 22, 2009 - i live in nome and these events did accure on october of 2000 my brother went to school with abigal tylers daughter. i remember my brother telling me that her husband died and abigals daughter ashley went blind. on the police videos it shows a UFO going over abigal tylers house and after that ashley wentt missing and was never found they say that she got obducted by the aliens.

How many tens of thousands of sightings do people see a year? That's a lot of visits, and non have thought to drop in and say hi properly? Nov 22, 2009 - not everything. just the things that are SITED and SOURCED. which that article happened to be along with the actual statement from universal studios. but i new it was a fake even before i wiki'd and googled it because of roger ebert's review of the movie. he states that the biggest disappointment about the movie was the fact that they tried to pretend it was real. though the number of missing people in nome IS high. they don't think it's aliens. alcohol and frigid conditions are the suspects.
