Rubba0Band0Man Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - They were, as described in the Bible, common men of men. Jesus refused to surround himself with rich elitists and the like. And furthermore, my point is that it is extremely unlikely if not impossible that the gospels were actually written by whom they are titled for. I suggest you research this from an unbiased source to learn more if you're truly interested.

josh19205 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Jesus was around sinners. Because the people already going to heaven what more could he do. He was around people that sin so he could try to get them saved so they may enter heaven.

Rubba0Band0Man Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - I'm talking about his disciples and close friends. Surely you're not asserting they are sinners? The point I'm making is that nobody knows who wrote what in the Bible, including the Gospels. They were not actually written by the men whom they are titled for and people don't seem to realize this.

Nov 19, 2009 - GOD IS MY JUDGE,MY SAVIOR.

vipaccess1 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - The Gospels and Epistles were circulated among the churches and were accepted by the early believers as authentic with scriptural authority. Jesus himself quoted from most of the Old Testament books which are in our bible today. The Dead Sea scrolls are more evidence to the veracity and accuracy of the Old Testament Bible of today and to what was originally written. Jesus said they are more valuable than bread.

vipaccess1 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Also 13 Epistles were written by the Apostle Paul who was a Jew with Roman citizenship and was also a Scholar, he authenticated most all the Old Testament. Zachias was also the head tax collector of the region appointed by Rome, Hardly common.

Nov 20, 2009 - Só true!!

WLinesman Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Of course the Diciples were sinners Rubba. One wonders exactly who this group was that you claim to have spent 13 or is it 15 years with you didn't even understand that?! Good grief! What were you doing most of the time? Reading a comic book? Because you certainly weren't listening if they were in fact Christians.

WLinesman Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Correction = Disciples

Nov 20, 2009 - I'm happy for the fact that I added regularly to this arguement though I've now retired from it.

Nov 20, 2009 - Mark 2:17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

Nov 20, 2009 - My God is an awesome Amazing GOD! My saviour loves, my saviour lives, my saviours always there for me, my god he was, my god he is, my god his always gonna be ! Praise GOD !

Nov 20, 2009 - For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Animelovers212 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Go God!!!

Rubba0Band0Man Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - No, no, no. I understand that they sinned, he was just trying to say that they were sinners to the extent that they were going to Hell. Maybe if you read the rest of the comments you would understand that.

Rubba0Band0Man Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Once again, you have no clue who wrote the Gospels or when they were written. The Dead Sea scrolls? You guys throw that around like it's evidence for God or something. The Dead Sea scrolls are simply very early remains of old testament books that, at best, show the consistency of the Jewish scriptures.

lhgf Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - That montage is just insane thank you for that :)

WLinesman Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - All men are sinners bound for Hell Rubba. The Apostles are included in this grouping excepting only that they like every other follower of Jesus have had the penalty for their sin placed upon the Lamb even Jesus, that is all that saves any man. I did read the comment Josh made. We diverge only in the words we use how they might be interpreted. Even the Religious people of Jesus day were sick bound for Hell but He couldn't help them because they thought they were okay.

vipaccess1 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Rubba- On the contrary the books of the bible are the most historically supported documents in history. The Dead Sea scrolls validate its accuracy. The existence of the finite implies the infinite which is the basis for the existence of the finite. No disrespect but you remind me of my granddaughter when Im trying to feed her vegetables and she turns her head away from the spoon not realizing her need of them.

Nov 22, 2009 - just aprreciate the song and quit debating it . its about our amazing jesus the lord savior . no other explanation neeeded.

ahkikoka05 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Rubba is partly correct in saying that we don't really know who wrote the Gosples. However, Paul did write many of the Epistles. It is highly believed by Biblical scholars that a man by the name John Luke wrote the Gosple of Luke AND the book of Acts. I majored in Biblical studies in college.

Rubba0Band0Man Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - That depends on how you define "historically supported". First of all, as I've mentioned plenty of times before, we don't know who wrote the gospels, or when they were written. It has been validated that certain locations in the Bible actually existed, while some did not. This is the extent of the validation of the Bible; nothing else has been confirmed or denied. Once again, the Dead Sea scrolls, at best, show general consistency in the Jewish old testament portions of the Bible, nothing more.
