Oct 25, 2009 - From what I've heard the news-type footage is really just stock footage that the studio threw onto the trailer to make it more appealing, but actually isn't in the movie. I've read the book several times and I definitely remember him shooting down a sniper in a window with his flare gun towards the end, as well as an explosion or two. Over all I think that this movie will stay true to the book. The trailer is just designed to draw in more potential viewers, as with any movie trailer.

Nov 5, 2009 - Saw the premiere in Hollywood last night. All that lame disaster news footage was not in the film, thank god. Fantastic film, very true to the book.
