Jul 19, 2009 - I can say that I support people being rich (1 Tim 6:17, 1 Kings 3:13), but not to covet after money, but rather to search after faith and love. The best thing in my opinion,is to is to follow the directive of 1 Tim 6:6-8, that is being content. The thing about that we can control our influx of money by giving, is certainly a lie imo. God is much more flexible than being controlled by any spiritual laws.

Aug 3, 2009 - Donnie is so right, fierce lol but very correct in his rebuking of the prosperity churches. They are popping up everywhere and in light of a dwindling economy, people are flocking to them and donating all of their money to get something in return and never see it, so it puts them in a tougher situation than they were originally.... I do not support prosperity teaching, in fact I see it as blasphemy against Jesus because He died so that we can have life and wealth in heaven, not on earth lol

Aug 24, 2009 - The Word Faith Movement in my opinion has the wrong view of God as it places trust in metaphysics as opposed to trust in God. It relies on a Universal Faith-Force that is in obedience to certain cosmic laws that God also must obey. God becomes something that can be manipulated through Positive Affirmation. Word Faith techniques such as Positive Confession and faith are not one in the same as it promotes ones own selfish desires.

Oct 7, 2009 - Maybe the "big name" preachers are like that, but I know quite a few local pastors who call themself "Word of Faith", and they do NOT teach universalism. This is why I get so mad when Donnie makes the statement that, "Anyone who teaches Jesus died Spiritually (suffered in Hell,) is Evil." I know Word of Faith preachers who NEVER ask for offering, and refuse it when given, so its actually wrong to even "always" associate them with Prosperity message, but Swaggart don't care.

Oct 7, 2009 - Like I said elsewhere, but it was removed, the only WoF preacher that I know of who is a universalist is Joel Osteen. Even among the prosperity preachers, they all teach Jesus is God and that he died for sin and the resurrection and so on. But like I said, there are many local WoF preachers who DO NOT even teach the prosperity message, and who even regularly REFUSE offerings. Donnie swaggart's blanket statement that they are all "evil" or "lost" is reckless, wrong, and ridiculous.
