Nov 9, 2008 - You have to think AIPAC and the Lobby is going well beyond legalized bribery. They can use the mass media to attack those who don't play ball -- I believe this is called blackmail and/or extortion
oldjoe5 Says:
Nov 9, 2008 - There clearly were a lot more "tragic exceptions" than there were strikes on Hezzbollah. Surely you know this?
JohnnyRock2000 Says:
Nov 9, 2008 - Probably 90% of their actions are within the current law. I believe that their motivations are for Israel at any cost...which means at any American cost. They would indeed sacrifice American lives, economy, reputation to further Israels goals. If one could prove a conspiracy of manipulated documents, lies etc. and could actually prove fraud against the American people, but how is that done, when they have such power? Retiring politicians should disclose their experiences.
oldjoe5 Says:
Nov 9, 2008 - They don't even have threaten those who oppose them. It is well known that their media people will be used to destroy any major politician who speaks out, along with moving vast amounts of money to prevent his or her re-election. Another big problem is how much influence they have in the judiciary. When Israel literally bulldozed American citizen Rachel Corrie, all attempts to obtain any justice legally were thrown out of court and these dismissals were upheld upon appeal. It seems hopeless

Nov 22, 2008 - Why are these professors so afraid of their detractors? "This is good for US and this is good for Israel..." I am an American. I could care less for the interest of the fascist state of Israel. I care about the interests of the United States of America.

Jan 11, 2009 - The Israel government spies on American politicians and civilians, and digs up dirt on them. It then threatens those individuals if they don't tow the line and support Israeli interests. At the same time, Zionists have totally taken over the State Department and many positions in the Dept of Defense. These professors are correct, yet seem timid in their revelations. We need to purge the Zionists from the U.S. government. No dual loyalties allowed in leadership positions.

Jan 29, 2009 - Wow, the Israeli atrocities in Gaza is pushing us to discover the truth of what is really going on here in the US and abroad specifically in the Middle-East...This has been an eye opener for me. We must speak against injustices wherever they are. No to AIPAC! PEACE!
ARTAUDIOJOTA Says:
Feb 3, 2009 - Can you recommend anyone not so timid besides Chomsky/Finklstein?
brum82 Says:
Feb 3, 2009 - Having looked at the article by these professors for my degree, I had to try to look at arguments against the professors'. Although what the professors say I agree with, the trouble is that it is too easy to almost dismiss the arguments of the professors because the "special relationship" between the us and israel is mutually benificial. I guess what the the professors are saying is that the relationship is more benificial for israel which is detrimental to the usa.
brum82 Says:
Feb 3, 2009 - the professors say that AIPAC is the driving force in us foreign policy in us. however, AIPAC is the second most powerful lobby. the most powerful are the religious neo cons who believe in a "jihad" in which the jews will be victorious and then convert to christianity. how does this group influence us foriegn policy? also how can a lobby that promotes israeli agendas be more powerful than the american federation of labour?
deagla Says:
Feb 23, 2009 - Things you should know: the Illuminati is run by reptilian astral entities known throughout history as Djinn, Nagas, Sheti, Angels/Demons, Dragons etc. that rule the higher echelons of Freemasonry and do foul sextorture rituals usually with young children getting eaten. They'll probably stage terror attacks soon, then will come an American union(WW3 too) a staged alien invasion w/Draconian-saviours! Get storable food, support Stewart Swerdlow, Alex Jones, Dr.Deagle David Icke!

Apr 12, 2009 - "Our basic view is that when countries start conducting policy without speaking about it candidly, they're gonna make mistakes every now and then, if not all the time." I cannot really agree with Walt and Mearsheimer that the US and Israeli policies are "mistakes." How can state terrorism and murder be called a mistake? A mistake from whose p.o.v.? Calling the US sanctioned and supplied, and Israeli executed, assaults on the civilian populations of Lebanon and Gaza "mistakes" is beyond vulgar.
BenderJJJ Says:
May 19, 2009 - what are you jibberjabbering about?
Shpira Says:
May 22, 2009 - You kinda missed the point its not about AIPAC its about the way the US political system works. As long as you have political contributions from lobby groups this kinda thing will continue...furthermore its not about Israel. Its about everything including the US health care, construction regulations, oil drilling, the kyoto protocol and many other issues where there is no balance of power between two pressure groups.
Shpira Says:
May 22, 2009 - The US political system is in need of reform so as to assure that it works in the best interest of the US populations rather than for those individuals who donate money to political campaigns.

Oct 6, 2009 - John Mearsheimer Steve Walt Kudos to both of you! Very nice and balance discussion. I totally agree that this topic should be discuss openly in American media and school campuses. For all these years it seems that this the case of a mischievous Elephant in a living room and no one notices and complaining about it.
