Glenn1967ful Says:

Oct 8, 2009 - Thank goodness they might Cannon before the car industry downsized. I could imagine him having a real struggle with a Chevy Vega.

ElCid48 Says:

Oct 8, 2009 - And if he was still alive and had to drive a Smart??? Heheheheheehe!

Glenn1967ful Says:

Oct 9, 2009 - Or a Toyota Aygo, he'd break it.

ElCid48 Says:

Oct 9, 2009 - Or he would be wearing it...HAHAHAHAHA

Glenn1967ful Says:

Oct 9, 2009 - I bet even the Lincoln would be struggling to get 5 mpg with him inside it. I'm sure the fuel crisis contributed to the end of the series, as fat Frank would break most downsized cars. However, it was still quite a good show.

ElCid48 Says:

Oct 9, 2009 - It's true. He was a good actor. A gentle giant of a man.

Glenn1967ful Says:

Oct 10, 2009 - Yeah we joke about his size, but it was very popular in Britain in the seventies. It was part of a new wave of detective series that included Ironside, Kojak and Mc Cloud.

Oct 10, 2009 - I can remember how the suspension wallowed under the tremendous force of Conrad wedging himself into the Lincoln. A few Cannon rumors floating around Hollywood was that Conrad had to change suits several times a day during filming because he would drench them in sweat. Another rumor had Conrad basically supporting the local pizza joints where they filmed in LA, sometimes devouring up to 15 larges with Pepperoni a day, in fact, an extensive on set seafood buffet was in his contract.

Nov 3, 2009 - Cannon, along with a number of QM productions and other detective shows, were popular during the '70's. It's hard to imagine that Cannon would be approve by the network during these diet/health worring times. But, I think they should think about these off beat characters for new shows...we could sure use them during these grim economic times. How about a guy in a factory worring about getting laid off? You could do a brilliant show about a family in a hard situation.

Owlzindabarn Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - That's funny; William Conrad was considered a porker by 70s standards; but nowadays he just looks like anybody else lol

mikey42 Says:

Nov 10, 2009 - TVLand's ratings would soar if they'd only go back to their old format and start showing old programs like these. But nooooooooooooo!

Tchalla77 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - Classic 70s television and some great memories. Now if this alongside Harry O, Ironside and The Streets of San Francisco were back on the box, I'd actually endeavour to pay my tv license.

EaglesMan36 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Totally. I'd love to create a new schedule for that damn station instead of just entire blocks of one show all damn night.

dwig02 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - I Do Feel BBC One Or BBC 2 Or BBC Four Or Itv One Or Itv Four Or Five Should Repeat This Tv Series Cannon On Their Station So People Can Watch It Again That Would Be Good
