Nov 18, 2009 - PS- I do understand the point of Romans and the other 3 Heuptbriefe texts so please dont get preachy on justification through faith or any other post- Luthurian stuff. I am well aware that the quotes I made are regarding his relationship between Nomos, Torah, Flesh, Body and Spirit- I could write a book on it. I was just using it as an illustration of basic contradictions. The best historical innacuracies/ contradictions are the Joshua/Judges incompatable parallels- but that is its own Thesis!

Nov 18, 2009 - I would rather have been a 'Dhimmir' Christian in the Ottoman Empire than a nonCatholic in Europe any day of the week. You might have to pay a tax and loose some rights, but at least you weren't boiled in oil. The Ottomans would only invade when threatened. The proof? They were richer, better organised and had a pro army. If they wanted to, they would have walked over Europe (what is pre-American Europe BTW?) in no time. However, Sharia law prevented even the Gazi's from going too far.

mrgodbehere Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - The exact opposite of ^ is true of all islamic nation Not strictly accurate. We have a painted picture of attrocious Orthodox islamic nations and tarnish all with the same brush. There are many forward looking, modern, Heterodox Islamic nations (ie, as 'Islamic' as we are 'Chrisitan') such as Tunisa, Moroco and Turkey who are as appauled by such actions as we are.

Nov 18, 2009 - Not a fan of the Pauline writings and the Councils of Aggripa, Trent and Nicea then? No one is sure what the 1st/2nd century followers believed. They certainly had a bigger range of texts in their teachings and just as many devisive groups as now (Muratorians, Origens, various Gnositcs). If Peter had his way, 'true' Christianity would have continued down culturally exclusive lines and as for Yeshua's brand of Christianity- please qualifiy this. How do we know about this?

mrgodbehere Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - According to Paul, you have no laws either. Science dosent know everything, if it did it would stop, but you cant just shove whichever fairy story most appeals to you into the gas. Was it 'made' by somthing, we dont know that, but we do know it wasnt 'made' 600 years ago by magic and if something did make it happen, it did it in a much clever way than the bible mythologies state. Why are you so scared of unknowns? And yet again I ask, based on the same argument, who created this creator?

thepwnager1337 Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - Athiests believe in matter before the existance of matter. Theists believe in God before the existance of matter. I'm a Christian, and believe the bible is the word of God. If anyone has any legitimate questions that aren't aimed at attacking my beliefs, then feel free to PM me. Otherwise please don't try to start a debate. i'm tired of them.

DanishFusion Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - @thepwnager1337 I belive that god tells you that pride is a sin. Your name would therefore be a sin, since your flaunting your ability to be "1337" or elite, and saying that you "pwn"... Do correct me if im wrong.

BlitzThrash Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - without showing the flaws of your beliefs, as this entire interview has shown, is the only way you could ever hope to actually see a different point of view. However, like in this interview, I wouldn't be surprised if you simply answered with "god did it THIS way" to deviate from the actual paradox you're refusing to see.

Drecc69 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - has anyone ever thought of God as just a symbolic symbol in order to keep societies organized and less chaotic..?

depletable Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - No one is going to inquire anything about your bible in a serious way, man. Anyone not brainwashed from birth, or saved after a long life of being an addict of some sort, don't take the bible that seriously as a viable option of running their lives. Christianity's been around for a while, and if it were such a concrete thing, or even a good option, more people would be so involved.

shawndimery Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - How do you think God was created then? Or was he 'always' there? The idea of matter existing before matter just sounds alot more viable than a man with a beard existing before matter.

malaclypse2001 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Many many people, throughout history. Both atheists and thiests. But that won't help them when it comes down to the fact that they have sinned against God and the reality of Hell.

f50tube Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - you know, it kinda funny why they even debate, if they are asked tough questions on either sides they think about a little or maybe not at all, and then go back to being what they were, atheist and theist.

25mairi Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - It's funny how at the very end Thunderfoot says that shadrach, meshach, and abemdigo was saved. I think HE"S a believer in God's power. PRAISE JESUS. I wonder what they talked about over lunch.

thepwnager1337 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - Well, the Bible states that God always was. Of course it doesn't sound feasible or comprehendible to the simplicity of the human logic. But, in a realm without time and matter, does something really need a beginning or end? Spontaneous generation doesn't sound more viable to me.

mrburnett Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - lol

damonthemoney93 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - This was a great discussion Thunderf00t, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

hellomoto170 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - thats probably why people invented the idea of a god, shame people think he is real nowadays.... and anyway if that was the case, its not working... the overwhelming majority of people in jail are theists.

burningeko Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - i just noticed that the way religious people talk isn't deep at all, but they make it sound deep by talking in symbolism. they dodge behind dogma every time a logical, obvious question is asked. its kind of sad that they can't even be honest with themselves

helldogas2 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - LOL .Ray lusted after women, but now he lust after Kirk Cameron XD. The banana skit shows how he was reborn.

nick260682 Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - Hahahahahahaha!! The whale had air-con!!! So not only did Jonah have air to breathe, he could adjust the temperature too!! Priceless Ray, priceless.

drab100 Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - Rays memorable moment at 3:03. "Some things in the bible I find hard to understand" GOT HIM! HE'S MAKING IT UP AS HE GOES ALONG

NathanWubs Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - Any evidence you have to back that up?

NathanWubs Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - Atheist (n): one without a belief in, or one who lacks belief in, the existence of god or gods This is the only thing that all atheist do not believe in. There is not believe or assertion in being an atheist. You are talking about cosmologist, that study the big bang where the matter came from etc. However, even in your statement you show that you are wrong. That is also why you got a -4, as you are spreading false information. Why cannot we not say matter always existed?

thepwnager1337 Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - The universe is in a constant state of entropy, so it can't be infinite (it's the second law of thermodynamics i believe). And if matter always existed it would be infinite, so today would never come.
