Nov 20, 2009 - LMAO. You are a moron if you seriously believe your own spiel. There is nothing in The Bible about the big fucking bang. The Bible has no eye-witness accounts of anything, it's a huge collection of re-written account of bollocks by annonymous people thousands of years ago. It's a pointless piece of shit. The Bible says the World is 6 thousand years old. How do account for that. Fool. And no we weren't crafted by God, we evolved: FACT.
Homoarachnos Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Of course the bibles truth has nothing to do with science. The major part of the bible are Myths. Myths don´t need evidence to be true. You have to read between the lines.
Jesusmetalhead Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - lol, so what about these reputable scientists who happen to be people of faith? what about Ken Miller, William Phillips, Jerome Groopman, and Darrel Falk, to name a few? They are all top scientific researchers, with one being a nobel laureate, who happen to be people of faith, whether Christian or Jewish, and accept evolution as fact. Looks like Ricky forgot about them. And also, just for the record, gospel is not another name for the Bible. There are four gospels within the Bible.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - Lmao that's not good enough. What kind of an excuse is that. Any claim that claims to be true needs evidence. You can't just say "no this is a special truth, we don't need to prove it" just because you want to believe it. You're quite welcome to believe it but by every discernable angle, none of it is in any sense true, in the real meaning of the word. Otherwise you could use that excuse for anything. I have an invisible friend. You don't believe me but... I don't NEED to prove it. Sure.
Homoarachnos Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - The Message of the bible is (at least in my eyes) true. I can believe in god and evolution because the bible isn't a scientific book. For example the first book of genesis: it is a lyric text about the relation between god and his creation, it isn't a scientific theory about HOW the world was built, it tells us WHY we are different from the other animals (the tree of knowledge) and that we are responsible for them.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - That doesn't make sense. If you want to use The Bible as a philosophical book or whatever fine. But you can't claim it to be true then just say it's not scientific. Any real truth is scientific. That's what truth is. If it can't stand against real scientific scrutiny then it's not truth as we know it. The first book does say how the World and we were made = By God. It directly contradicts Science as we know for fact that everything evolved and was not made in the single state we see them asnow
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - It also contradicts Science by saying the World is 6,000 years old when we know it's 4 billion years old. If you believe the story of creation of the Bible to be true then no you can't also believe in Evolution. You don't 'believe' in Evolution anyway, you have to accept it if you know the facts. The only way not to believe in it is to deny plain evidence. It's like denying gravity. So if you believe humans were made special by God and all animals seperate - You can't also believe we evolved
Homoarachnos Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - We can learn even from Fairytales but these are never claimed to be "wrong", how can myths be "wrong"?! And why should it not be possible to see god (not an old man with a long beard) as our worlds creator? Darwins theory just shows how exactly it happened.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - Something be right or wrong morally is different to it being true or false factually. You were saying the situations were TRUE. that's different. Whether you consider the message of the fables to be relevant or non-relevant or right or wrong to you is a matter of opinion. Point is they are not TRUE. The World is not 6k years old, Noah didn't get every animal on an ark.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - and please don't use the old chesnut of saying "an old man with a beard" as if to make it seem like what you believe is any less ridiculous. I didn't claim it was an old man with a beard. Whatever you think he / she / it looks like is not relevant. Core idea: Supernatural creator. And for that there is no proof so it's just as ridiculous whether God is a man or has a beard or whatever. And the reason you can't is because The Bible's account has already been proven wrong.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - The Bible says every species was created individually and humans in God's eyes. We know this is not true. All animals are related, we are apes, we're cousins to chimps, every living species has the same DNA. We are all connected. So how can you then say God still did it. The way The Bible says it happened is already not true so you can't just say oh okay then yeah we did evolve but... God started it. Putting a creator at the start of things does NOTHING.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - It just kicks the can back as you still have to explain the creator. And if you say "oh well, God is outside of Science" - That is lame. If you don't need to explain God and God was "always just there" then why couldn't the Universe always just of been here. The Big Bang is what created the World. We can see the radiation of it billions of years away. There's nothing about a Big Bang in the bible. Also why did god create all these other planets with no life.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - If he designed the universe he did a pretty crummy job. 99% of planets are too hot or too cold, too destructive or too dead. Also, every species has many internal flaws so not much of a designer ey. If this God can be outside of science and just be there, you'd at least thing he wouldn't make elementary mistakes. Putting god there does nothing to explain anything. Also, the fables in the bible are stupid too - it says you shouldn't lie yet in the Garden of Eden god lies himself lmao.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - He tells Eve the apple will kill her when it actually won't. Also, why give humans free will if you're just gonna punish them for using it pmsl? He gives Eve the free will to ignore his lie and then punishes her for using her free will. Makes no sense at all.
Homoarachnos Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - The bible is a philosophical book. For example there are two different versions of the story of the creation, which contradict each other if you read them word for word.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - Oh and please don't start writing replies about the adam and eve story and how I've misunderstood it to avoid the real stuff. Address all the logical points I've made, then that.
dirkschuitsma Says:
Nov 23, 2009 - No one can prove that to you. But neither can you prove God exists. If you'd tell me the Devil existed I'd believe you more, although I think he/her/whatever doesnt exist either.
underDAhood95 Says:
Nov 23, 2009 - Its to subconcously build resentment towards women
underDAhood95 Says:
Nov 23, 2009 - I dont beleive in god but couldnt it be all this scientific evidence just shows us how god did it and he has been mis-quoted in the human written bible
DJC0921 Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - Oh come on people. If you're so caught up in your fairy tale religion then go preach it somewhere else then a video of an atheist comedian!
EminemBase Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - Well that's just ridiculous. The Bible is the only source of religion's so called evidence so if that's wrong. There's nothing. You can't just cop-out and do that lmao. The Bible says the world is 6k years old and that is supposed to be the word of god. So it shouldn't be wrong. But we know that's nonsense. But of course you then get desperate fools saying god put the dianasours there to fool us... Only after we've proven they were there.
EminemBase Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - You could just use that excuse and make it fit for anytying. Ridiculous.
JanineRobin Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - You can never win an argument against someone who has an invisible friend. Especially when that invisible friend created the universe and can squash you anytime he likes.
Zajuts149 Says:
Nov 25, 2009 - "..friday, innit?" LOL!

tomdowns132 Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - we are very far from perfect. Look around man. . . poverty. . . murder. . . diseases. . . you really think somebody designed us? and created so dastardly by God?
