R1v1X Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - @UnluckyGambler You must be quite dumb then or lacked doing what you advice others to do: Tigers depress wolf numbers, either to the point of localized extinction or to such low numbers as to make them a functionally insignificant component of the ecosystem. Tigers unlike brown bears always win even against a pack of wolves. That isnt surprising as Siberian tigers are the only tigers ever to meet wolves.

R1v1X Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - @UnluckyGambler - Sikhote-Alin comprises one of the most extraordinary temperate zones in the world. Species typical of northern taiga (such as reindeer and the Ussuri Brown Bear) coexist with tropical species, the Amur leopard, Siberian tiger, and the Asiatic Black Bear. The region holds very few wolves, due to competition with tigers

Nov 12, 2009 - @R1v1X see this is what happens when u jump into the middle of a conversation that u werent involved in. dont assume u know what we were arguing about.

Seihttam Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - And that was just a Black Bear. The real big ones are Grizzlies and Polars. They're beasts

R1v1X Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - @UnluckyGambler I dont assume I know what your conversation is about, I just humbly disprove what u seem to call fact for which you supposedly have prove. ;)

UnluckyGambler Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - @R1v1X how do u know that i was saying something is fact? u r taking my words out of context. within context, i never claimed they were facts. im no expert in ecology, and i dont claim to be, so it would be silly for me to assume the truth of things that i dont know much about. btw, "humbly" doesnt involve calling someone an dumb.

Nov 13, 2009 - One swipe, your a fuckin dumbass, Cougars are hgiher up on the food chain than Black bears

Youradumbassbarnes Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - Do you know how strong tigers are. They have more swipe force, same bite force, AND are more agile.

Felixg1979 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Lol its common sense dude, cougars are nasty. But a black bear would of easily killed it. As for tigers yes they could easily take down a black bear. BUt if you were to say a polar bear now,now a polar bear would slice and dice a tiger up within minutes. Cougars are now higher up in the food chain then black bears dude common sense would tell you if that cougar would of charged that black bear, as i have said before one swipe of that paw its as good as over.

TigrexSlayer182 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - if you research you will find that bears have a stronger hit. tigers tend to box small hits used to try to knock them off balence. and a bear is capable of killing a tiger with one hit. as they tend to break spins necks etc in alot of other animals

Youradumbassbarnes Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Your'e very miss-informed. "Tigers have small box hits". You are a better comedian than you are factual

Youradumbassbarnes Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - More Tigers have been seen killing male brown bears, (3), than vice versa (0)

TigrexSlayer182 Says:

xor12 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Tigers have small box hits. true. They use their claws mainly for grip, brown bears use their claws for slashing/ rip open. black bears have more hooked claws than grizzlies for climbing trees ( but can use them also for grip on other animals). In russia there are only reports of brown bears killing adult male tigers, but NONE about the opposite. And we are talking about amur brown bear, not about very big subspecies like kodiak or coastal alaskan.

xor12 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Tigers more swipe force=? Since when? Tigers use their claws to grip on their prey to anchor a neck bite. HOOFED prey with NON flexible clawed paws, are their main prey, tigers evolved to kill deers, boars, etc . Bears however have flexible clawed forelimbs, so are very hard to take by the tiger method. More bite force? Only a bit more and if of the same size of the bear. But bears are bigger. Agility yes, tiger is better, but that doesn´t make tigers taking bigger bears than themselves.

xor12 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Bears have a very decisive behavioral aspect, particularly brown bears. They can swipe with both forelimbs simultaneously, they are more stable on 2 legs and if attacked by behind they can roll themselves, dislodge abite the enemy

xor12 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - I have some sources about relationship between cougars, brown bears and black bears in America. Surprisingly cougar is considered a gravy train. This means that both bear species benefit a lot from cougar presence stealing and usurping cougar kills. Wold packs also present a threat to cougars ( as it´s happening in Yellowstone) because they kill cougars, lone wolves would lose with a cougar though. But both bear species usurp either wolf packs and cougars.

Youradumbassbarnes Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - You are making up this info. Look up youtube videos for 'tigers kill adult male brown bears". Tigers win bears lose
