Aug 29, 2009 - Thou shalt use a Metcal or Hakko soldering station and solder in accordance with MIL-STD-2000. Seriously though ... these are two of the best soldering irons to use .... Great video as always! Pete :)

Sep 29, 2009 - Graemey, WTFook soldering station is that anyway? It looks like a travel model in a sanitary White a medical tech might have had. Did those xistors come from the local Radio Spares?

Oct 2, 2009 - Hello, sounds good! What hfe and leakage did you end up using? I've built one myself and try to tune it up. Got Q1 60 270ua Q2 93 150ua Q3 65 160ua.
blondegraemey Says:
Oct 2, 2009 - Q1 69, Q2 and Q3 about 90/100 all had very low leakage but I've heard that leakage isn't such a problem in this circuit. G

Oct 31, 2009 - Hey Graeme, just wondering if you could tell me what drill / drill-bit your are using to drill the box? I have a decent hammer drill but I really struggle drilling through the diecast aluminium boxes with my bits.
blondegraemey Says:
Nov 1, 2009 - The drill is an old mains Black and Decker. You need drill bits suitable for drilling metal. If yours are blunt, they will need to be replaced. G
Adji87 Says:
Nov 1, 2009 - Cheers Graeme. I bought some drill bits from B + Q which are 'suitable for metal' but I guess they are not strong enough? Should I look for some solid carbide ones?
blondegraemey Says:
Nov 1, 2009 - I couldn't say? If your drill is powerful and fast enough you should drill aluminum with ease. It is a soft metal. I find re-chargable cordless drills are to slow. G
Adji87 Says:
Nov 1, 2009 - Ah, it IS a cordless one, perhaps it just sucks and I don;t know it, lol, cheers for the help Graeme. Check your message inbox btw ;)

Nov 25, 2009 - hey, i'm gonna build a fuzz as my 1º diy pedal ( imma do it with a friend that is in an electronic oriented school) and i was wondering if this one has the positive ground (i've read it at tonepad) and if it does how will it interfeer with my other negative ground pedals...
blondegraemey Says:
Nov 26, 2009 - This is a positive ground pedal. You can use it with other neg ground pedals but they can not share the same power supply. Running a them on batteries is fine. G
