In fact, that sort of proves that no one is listening to this "music". Unique is a good thing, for sure. But my bulldog farts very audibly. Should I record it, pawn it off as music/art because it's unique? Maybe I could, but would anyone revere it as talent? Not likely. Thanks for the reply, even if it were rude. :-)

When is the last time you heard anything good on the radio? It's all shit. Radio rotation does not = talent at all. Money gets you rotation. I only brought up your grammar and spelling because you pointed out that Joplin mispronounced simple words :P. You're right though, how often do you get criticized for that? haha. Good show Vag.

Arguing about music is inane because, as I've said too many times before, what I like and you like are different. Why can't you just let that be and accept it? An argument is not necessary.

I meant classic rock stations. We have them here (Phoenix) and I also have satellite so there are about 4 or so there. I can't tell you how much I love the Beatles ('66 onward), Led Zep, later Stones and later Who. I also dig lots of Jimi, etc. I just think Joplin doesn't belong in that group. That's the truth. :-)

How long can two people argue about whether 2+2 equals 5 or if it's 4? Most are about opinion. Let's say I told you it was my opinion that cheeseburgers taste exactly like dog shit. If I closed my eyes, I couldn't tell one from the other and that's my opinion. You wouldn't challenge that? Come on, man... arguing about music is fun and is TWO sided. :-)

Nov 11, 2009 - Ok vocab lesson: for those people who were saying she doesn't know the difference between "import" and "importance," import is a noun which can mean something of great consequence or importance. That said, her voice isn't traditionally beautiful but I still love this song. It grows on me when I listen to the passion and suspend judgment based on current conceptions of beauty. But that's just my opinion. It's too bad this song cuts off where it does. The first verse actually repeats at the end.
