Sep 23, 2009 - can anyone tell me where to get the same thing done as the white zombie basically in a kit car or convert from gas? im interested in it for regular driving.

roykaz Says:

Sep 23, 2009 - I think its time to organize world electric car races. If with FIA approval the better. IUP, I got the name: FORMULA EV1. ;P. Competition is a great way to accelerate the development of this type of cars.

Paganiproductions Says:

Oct 1, 2009 - Stll give me a gas engine anyday of the week

Bogt Says:

Oct 2, 2009 - It is highly a customized automobile. You can see it's complete history on plasmaboyracingDOTcom

leerider52 Says:

Oct 5, 2009 - how about a grudge match against Kill-A-Cycle...I'm sure they would give the car a head start???

palmtreedoc Says:

Oct 11, 2009 - How you gonna dispose of those batteries, plasma boy?

skalleknull Says:

Oct 11, 2009 - still takes fossil fuels to charge it plasma boy.

Bogt Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - No it does not. He takes his power from a hydro powerplant. :-)

Bogt Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - His Pb batteries are very easy to recycle. Over 90% can be used to make new batteries. Off course people will have to dispose the batteries in a right way. It would be best to setup some kind of deposit program so people are encouraged to bring them back.

skalleknull Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - well that is good, hopefully it will always stay on a hydro-plant.

zizwop Says:

Oct 16, 2009 - I don't understand why people argue about electric cars-this thing is so cool. Even if you aren't an environmental evangelist, it's still cool. I still think the future is in hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, but this car is great. I'm wondering if this thing has a brushless motor.

wilde1music Says:

Oct 17, 2009 - Imagine if big oil and the auto industry hadn't killed the electric car technology in its infancy over 100 years ago. (check out Jay Leno's "Baker") The technology would be light years ahead and the vehicles as cheap as borscht. Pollution and environmental decay wouldn't be such an issue either. Nor would the punitive taxes citizens are now being forced to pay due to corporate corruption and greed.

seeker589 Says:

Oct 17, 2009 - But what nasty things did the power plant generate to charge that electric car? The best - most efficient electric race team would have wind or solar power generating power from the top of their truck to plug into when the car needed recharging. What will the rules of Drag Racing read in 50 years?

Axnarax Says:

Oct 24, 2009 - Ariel Atom with that motor = *_*

Hebert6760 Says:

Oct 24, 2009 - CAUSE CANCER???? ARE YOU SERIOUS

resolutiongroup Says:

Oct 26, 2009 - In reading more and very typical fear of change by naysayers. I just wonder, honestly, what would be the problem if this became the more common way to power vehicles? Given that the total energy content contained on the earth is finite, the only real way to extract more energy is by tapping into external sources, and the closest most abundant source is the sun. Solar energy comes directly as well as indirectly in the form of wind. Only down side: it's intermittent. So we need batteries.

kappawear Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - But, if it does use fossil fuels, it is easier to control emissions from a 'point source' than a 'mobile source'.

az4runner4fun Says:

Nov 1, 2009 - Even if, lets say you charged the batteries from a power plant that used coal. The electric motor itself is far more efficient. I have heard well over 100mpg avg. If all the gasoline engines in the u.s. avg. 100mpg just imagine the difference in pollution. So efficiency is the key difference here. Of course many of us will fight this newer idea. However one day gas will cost 10 or more per gallon. So electric will continue to look better.

darthyoda93 Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - but it would still be better for the environment than petrol. also i believe something like 80% of the potential engergy of petrol is lost as heat when used in a combustion engine. just a though......

MarcusFenix1974 Says:

Nov 7, 2009 - it is funny how in the video the guy talks about not polluting because of his electric car... what a moron, where does he think those batteries come from? Are they grown on fucking Trees? The batteries pollute as much as the fucking gasoline, they pollute while they are produced and then disposed of. Environment nuts are too stupid to realize that.

electron42135 Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - Talk about pollution! Check the language used to try to make a point that any English speaking person wouldn't find necessary.

efabio Says:

Nov 10, 2009 - Congrats/Bravo!

robbbb4 Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - 1/4 mile on a 20 minute charge? I need more range. That said, I think this is clearly the future. Sure, it may pollute to create and dispose of a battery, but how much life do you get out of it before you do? And what do you do with the battery remains? Also, imagine a parking lot full of cars with solar cells on them and around the lot in a place like LA or Phoenix.

robbbb4 Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - With more and more efficient solar cells, batteries, and motors, this will cross the line, just as the home computer did years after the absurdly expensive IBM xt/at. We all have them now (or you wouldn't be reading this).

g0fvt Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - John Weyland the creator of White Zombie is a cool guy, he takes the time to answer emails to his site. This car is inspirational, electric finally has massive appeal. Hope to see more stuff from John.
