dahlin82 Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - It is a self-created language. The beauty of her "language" is that you don't really have to know about what she is singing because this music is able to reach beyond the confines of human speech and speaks to the emotions. Best of luck on the homework!

Nov 14, 2009 - Yes, she believes that she enters a trance-like state and is given this language from beyond. Some refer to it as speaking in tongues. Wwhen she sings this way the men in the recording studios never think she can repeat the songs, but she does--sound for sound. If you want a history of who she is, the language she sometimes is graced with and her philosoophy on life order "Sancturary" Lisa Gerrard. It is a DVD about her, her music and her life. Beautiful!

Nov 15, 2009 - I first heard this track on Paul Oakenfold's Another World, CD2. I was driving home from Bristol to Wiltshire after just splitting up with my girlfriend, needless to say, it reduced me to tears. Deep, moving and really went straight inside me to the heart - it is amazing. Thanks for sharing on here.

Nov 20, 2009 - It is not "glossolalia" (speaking in tongues). It is "Idioglossia". The latter means "language of one's own."
