Evro2004 Says:

May 24, 2009 - thanks for the review. which of the three is the brightest and has the furthest throw?

goingprepared Says:

May 24, 2009 - That would be the Jetbeam M1X due to its massive reflector.

kb0 Says:

May 25, 2009 - I think I am going to order the jetbeam, it seems to be the best as far as throw and battery options go.

goingprepared Says:

May 25, 2009 - It's a nice light. My customers have been very pleased with it so far.

Evro2004 Says:

May 28, 2009 - great, thanks for the info. do u know what would be an equivalent light in the surefire range? and would it be worth the extra $?

nickanto Says:

Jul 2, 2009 - do u have the tk40 in stock? and is it the ubdated led?

nickanto Says:

Jul 2, 2009 - m bin?

goingprepared Says:

Jul 2, 2009 - Yes, I do have them in stock. I do not know if they are M bin or not since Fenix does not label the bins, but they are from a recent shipment.

booman606 Says:

Jul 2, 2009 - Is there much of a difference between te throw of the M30 and the others or do you have to really look hard to see the difference. I am really leaning on the M30 because of its size. Currently have the eagletac T10LC2 and am impressed with the throw. but only 395 lumens at LED.

goingprepared Says:

Jul 2, 2009 - Yes, it is very noticeable at long distances. If you plan on using the light outside over large areas (300 yards or so), the M1X has by far the best throw of the three. For closer distances like lighting up backyards, trails, campsites, the inside of buildings, etc., the M30 is the way to go thanks to its smaller size.

booman606 Says:

Jul 2, 2009 - quick follow up question. The M30 takes cr123 batteries. they are usually 3.0v batteries. I have the AW CR123 3.7v batteries. Will the 3.7 volt batteries damage the light if I use them?

jfrojas Says:

Jul 4, 2009 - Hello, What is the diference between Torch Lumen and LED Lumen? Greetings. PS.- Great videos!!!

goingprepared Says:

Jul 4, 2009 - LED lumens are what the LED is rated for based on the wattage going to it. Torch lumens are what is actually coming out of the front of the flashlight.

booman606 Says:

Jul 5, 2009 - Huh, even the 3.7 volt 123's? I thought it will not work with 4 123's that the extender tube is for 2 18650's.

goingprepared Says:

Jul 5, 2009 - Whoops, you are right. I was thinking of the one I had 4 RCR123s in, but they are 3.0V, not 3.7V.

booman606 Says:

Jul 6, 2009 - haha. what will happen if I put three of my 3.7 volt batteries in the light do you think?

goingprepared Says:

Jul 6, 2009 - I know that is fine. 3.7V x 3 is less than 3V x 4, so it would be no problem.

junmae808 Says:

Jul 11, 2009 - great review! I'm a new flashlight enthusiast XD..just got the surefire e2d and the wicked laser torch (amazing 4100 lumens). 2 completely different uses but i love them both :D

junmae808 Says:

Jul 11, 2009 - btw, i'm just curious. I read about the m30 making a buzz noise at the tail cap. Does yours do that too?

goingprepared Says:

Jul 11, 2009 - No, none of the units I have come across have done that.

AMPedini Says:

Jul 13, 2009 - Hi. I wish you through the beem farther. What do you think about the TK40 or M1X acting as a boat spotlight? I wish I had a good comparison between 1,000,000 CP vs 680 Lumens? I think those rechargible handheld Spotlights for $20/$30 are junk.. Looking for alternitive although this is a little price? But will it do the job? Thanks boater from Michigan...

goingprepared Says:

Jul 13, 2009 - Yeah, my backyard isn't all that big. It's hard for a video camera to pick up light much further than that. I would say that the M1X would work better than the TK40 for you. It has a larger reflector and was built to throw the beam as far as possible. It can light up targets several football fields away, easily.

Jul 18, 2009 - The Jetbeam m1x I ordered from you arrived today and I'm very impressed with it, thanks for the fast shipping and your reviews. I love this flashlight!
