Oct 31, 2009 - I agree there's a lot of crap out there, but this way you get access to all the good stuff then and now. My generation had radio (parents tended to say 'turn it off' if they didn't like it) or TOTP, plus the singles and LPs we could afford to buy. Imagine a pre-computer, pre-cd/dvd, pre-Ipod world! That was us! Now there's every possible means of access to music, which is fantastic. But a new Glam Rock would be Sweet indeed!

Angusismyhero Says:

Nov 1, 2009 - I like the idea of that world way better. Now it's way too easy. With second-hand record shops and stuff you can still find old music. I've never downloaded anything in my life! All the music in my house can be spun, either on a turntable or in a CD tray. And when they showed TOTP2 on UKGold and channels like that, my Dad would always watch it with me and it would depress me when he'd say "Oh, he's dead ... so's he ... and him..." Another reason I'd love to have lived then!

Nov 7, 2009 - Maaaan, this makes me feel sooooo old. I had this album when it was first released...and, it was fuckin' LOADED. Little Willy, Blockbuster, Wig Wam Bam, Spotlight, Hellraiser,..song for song, one of the greatest albums ever released...by ANYONE. To this day, my heart pounds to the beat of Wig Wam Bam...simply SWEET!!!

inglegt Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - Reminds me of watching TOTP in the 70s with my parents. My mum would always been saying "They're all on drugs you know, you can tell, look at the eyes".

glencoelad Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - Damn, what happened to rock? No more Suzi Quato or the Sweet!

RipTheRam Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Well the reason it probably reminds you of Top Of the Pops in the 70's is because irt's a video of Sweet on Top Of the Pops from the 70's.

inglegt Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - Thanks, Rip. Nice to know what it is...and there was me thinking it was archive footage of an ENSA concert party trying to raise the morale of allied troops in the Burmese jungle.

MrMephistopheles666 Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - that opening riff sounds just like the riff off of "Dream Jeanie" by Bowie.

barac8 Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - The openning riff sounds like a police car after BC, to ask him what shade colourant he uses. BC is so sweet and this is the the most perfect toon ever after FOX ON THE RUN.

Angusismyhero Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - When they find out, I want to know as well XD And where he got his stage clothes from. I have boots ... I just need the other stuff...
