Nov 21, 2009 - i already expected to like it seeing as how I love evil dead and sam raimi. After watching it I did enjoy it. The only bad thing is the CGI is REALLY cheesy and fake looking at some points. Parts that could of been done with piratical effects, and looked WAY better. But overall it's a fun movie, don't take it seriously and enjoy it for what it is.

Nov 22, 2009 - The first movie i've watched with my new Cambridge Audio 640r Harmon Kardon 5.1 surround set up and it was an incredible experience. If you enjoyed Evil Dead (who in their right mind wouldn't?) then you'll love this. Scariest movie i've seen in years and it is a comedy slash horror. Sam Raimi is a genius. BTW ignore the comment on the CGI by BROKENHOUSEFILMS. The CGI was spot on and I usually hate CGI. He's probably trying to sound clever.

Nov 23, 2009 - No the movie wasn't a failure, it was good, not epic, just good. It also recieved some positive reviews. Its pretty gross at some point, even just looking at the old hag. Anyways, its not scary, just thrilling. I would recommend to anyone.
