Nov 7, 2009 - movie is food for thought for sure.There seems to be a lot of killing/murder in the beginning of the bible story b/c god is DISAPPOINTED in what he created. Maybe if god did exist "IT" was a flawed emotional entity just like humans are NOW very flawed, emotional and often times murder based on power.The parallel b/t the heartless killing part by god and human always stood out to me. I don't know the origin of "EXISTENCE" but it seems like inherently humans are self destructive ;-(

But, I do believe that the message of Christ is the diamond of the Bible. I think the message is the touchstone for the modern mind. And it is entirely compatible with reason. I looked up Horus's birth date and I couldn't find anything. So I question this video and wonder is "everything" 100 percent true? I question the motives of the person who made it. Nov 7, 2009 - Yeah, thanks for the discussion. I know, man is fallible, people get things wrong, and people lie. It's hard to be certain of anything, and arguing for the Bible is sometimes difficult due to the way that self-professed Christians have abused it throughout history. I just find enough that resonates with what seems right to me in the Bible that I believe there is truth in it that has made it through the ages notwithstanding the actions of man. I appreciate your skepticism, though.

Where do they get there information from. In the end, Christianity will change, and the emphasis will be on the message of Christ and not the story. Their must be a revolution in Christianity for it to make it through these days. The message of Christ is the thing. It requires no suppression of reason.
