Jun 10, 2009 - Check with the long-term members of your local group. I took the test in 1977, and at that time, yes, they DID tell you your raw score on both tests. It was only later when psychologists objected to Mensa administering the same test for $30 (back then) that the pros were charging large amounts for, that Mensa stopped giving out the numbers. Ask Abbie. Not only that, but back in 1977, if you scored in the 99th 5-ile, your results letter said so. Intertel accepts those letters.

I'd also like to note that there are quite a few people that state that intellect is nothing more than a measure of potential It'd be the same as having an incredible talent towards music, sports, or whatever, and spend your days sitting on your duff watching TV. Also, most of the people I've heard say this are the Mensans. Just because an organization has restrictions on membership contingent on a characteristic doesn't make them automatically elitist.
