Aug 9, 2006 - What a fun year 93 was. I ran around Center City Philadelphia screaming and waving my flag at the conclusion of this game!

wvudmac Says:

Lucho774 Says:

Feb 2, 2007 - One of my all-time favorite memories. I was 8 years old and I didn't sit down for the whole game. Probably the greatest feeling of my life.

Lucho774 Says:

Feb 2, 2007 - One of the best moments of my life. I was 8 years old at the time, and it was just amazing.

Jun 15, 2007 - i wish espn classic would run this game.....what a great game......

wheelingdowns Says:

Aug 4, 2007 - I agree ..... I wish MSN could get the rights and put this on DVD. That Miami D had Warren Sapp, Ray Lewis and of course "The Rock." Still pissed Kelchner was taken out of the Sugar Bowl on the 2nd series after driving right down Florida's throat that year but I guess switching Studstill and Kelchner all year is why they went 11-0. The BC game after this one is almost at the same level of a classic.

WVUNatchamp Says:

Sep 5, 2007 - Wow Dennis Erickson and staff had some hideous jackets, how did they expect to win?

wvu8893 Says:

Sep 5, 2007 - It was the 90s. These things happen. I watch my DVD of this game fairly often, especially the second half. What an incredible night!

franchise18510 Says:

Silkdashocker Says:

Oct 22, 2007 - Robert Walker was one of my childhood heroes. Then later on, i ended up playing football in college with his cousin Dave.

SteveGamica Says:

Jan 30, 2008 - I remember undefeated West Virginia got bombed in the Sugar Bowl

tauras88d Says:

Jul 26, 2008 - that was back in 92 when miami was at the top of their game and always contending for the national title, and was tuff to beat. but WVU beat them at the hight of their dynasty when miami was a powerhouse. and WVU got em buddy. if WVU would beat them today everybody would say no big deal, miami has been down for years. but WVU beat them twice during their glory days, and almost beat them several other times. go eers" WVU#1

feeldasteel Says:

Jul 27, 2008 - no doubt, they never put WVU games on there, I just think that the rest of the nation doesnt want to believe that a bunch of "hillbillies" can whoop their asses! Well they better get used to it, because this is the golden age of Mountaineer Football!

feeldasteel Says:

Jul 27, 2008 - I wish I had a copy of that one.

wvu35eers Says:

Aug 6, 2008 - dam right go eers my dad was at this game he said this was the best game he went to

strickmatic727 Says:

Oct 11, 2008 - man listen to the crowd...dosent get that loud there nemore trust me

wvucheerjr Says:

Dec 7, 2008 - I was at that game as a kid, it was an amazing game and by far the loudest Mountaineer Field has ever been.

scrubways Says:

Jan 1, 2009 - I was at the game along with 70,221 others. They sold standing room only tickets for this game and they don't do that anymore. Milan Puskar only holds 60,000 these days...thats why the crowd sounds so loud.

Rocket4Barrel Says:

Feb 24, 2009 - I was at this game with a buddy of mine and his sister who was a senior at WVU at the time. We managed to get a couple of the standing room only tickets in the endzone, and Walker scored that game winner right in front of us. Even though I am a PSU fan, WVU has always been my second favorite team, and this win was even sweeter beating the trash talking Miami Hurricanes when Miami was a perennial title contender. We all ran across the field after that win. Great party night in Morgantown.

Baldgol4 Says:

Jun 9, 2009 - It was a great sight to see. Goal posts torn down, kids putting their furniture out in the street and burning it....Only in Morgantown!!

nswartzentruber Says:

Sep 1, 2009 - first game ever as a mountaineer, just 8 years old ... havent missed a home game since ... GO EERS

eagle31969 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - I'm still kicking myself 16 years later that I missed this game. I had the money for the ticket and should've bought one when they were still available but for some reason I didn't. I sat (actually I didn't sit, I stood) at home and watched it and I remember the feeling of pure joy when Walker scored, the defense held strong, and when Kelchner hit Jay Kearney deep and Vanterpool ran that reverse to seal the game, it was sheer bedlam throughout West Virginia. And, yes, I did tape this game.
