I don't have the statistics but it doesn't seem like allot of them do .. I'm trying to think of a beach in japan that you can surf but i can't so maybe that's why they don't surf cause they don't really have the beaches or waves???? although they could just come to the above^ does anyone know for sure if this place is open or not??

I think that there would be some surfers but they are vastly outnumbered and overlooked by the shear number of people in Japan. I wish i could have surfed this, it shits all over my beachy 99% of days a year.
