The movie "Before the Rain" from 1994 directed and written by Milcho Manchevski was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. It won several awards at the Venice Film Festival including the Golden Lion, about thirty international awards in all. The movie contains three entities, causally and consequentially connected to one another, in the film narration. They are entitled as "Words", "Faces" and "Pictures".
