Apr 23, 2009 - To Angie's family, thank you for standing strong in front of biased and bigoted opposition - your love is so evident. People of all colors, sexual and gender orientation thank you!

enwhysee Says:

Apr 23, 2009 - to the family....grace and peace in such a difficult time. to autumn....thank you for your work in colorado. it has been difficult to watch and wait.

kendrabryn Says:

Apr 23, 2009 - Like Angie's family, I, too, am devastated. Dammit...i just can't stop crying. WHY ??? thank you, Autumn Sandeen, for a most difficult and well done job of reporting. Take a deep breath, girl, and come on back. Cause we need you now, more than ever. And we're here if you need us !!!

Momotaro15 Says:

Apr 23, 2009 - My heart goes out to the Zapata family. The monster that killed Angie didn't even show any remorse. I'm grateful too for the verdict. Angie was a very pretty girl. I can hardly see for the tears falling down my face.

brownstargirl Says:

Apr 23, 2009 - Much love. Queer, trans and two spirit family everywhere are sending our love, prayers and action for a just world where this shit won't happen anymore.

aenoether Says:

Apr 23, 2009 - We should all be so blessed as to have such a wonderful and loving family as Angie's.

ronnykmarshall Says:

Apr 23, 2009 - I was thinking the same thing. She was loved for who she was. What a great family and what a tragic loss.

punkzanyj Says:

Apr 23, 2009 - much love to the Zapata Family from Chicago. I know it is of little comfort, but justice has been served. Blessings to you in this time of pain. You are an amazing family.

Jacksonholenativ Says:

Apr 23, 2009 - What a horrible and horrifying loss this family is going through. This is one of the greatest tests for our society in learning to love and accept persons who are different and have a very different experience than those of us who live our day to day lives. The myths and lies that are thrown out at transgendered people is damaging. Damaging not only to transgendered people and their families but deeply harmful to society. The loss of any transgendered person diminishes every one of us.

diah4 Says:

Apr 25, 2009 - Everyone is of free will, and nobody has the right to take someones life.I agree with you there, however, when you say that there are lies being spread about transgenders...I have to differ with you there. The act of homosexuality and trasgenderism(if that's a word), are acts of perversion. This is in the bible clear as day. Again,I don't agree with anyone taking anyone elses life b/c they disagree with the person for whatever reason. Everyone will have to answer for their actions on judgement day.

Jacksonholenativ Says:

Apr 25, 2009 - diah4 your Pharisaical, self-righteous, ignorance is showing through very clearly here. Many transgendered persons have the science to back up their lives. They have the genetic science to show that their chromosomal expression is very different than the vast majority of people. Your using the bible to bash people who U don't understand just moves people further away from accepting the real Jesus who loves unconditionally. The Jesus who tells people to stop judging others. That includes you

akrno Says:

Apr 25, 2009 - what cold comfort, but comfort nonetheless to have your daughter/sister's murderer convicted.... this transboy's mother's heart joins yours in mourning the loss of angie... godspeed you to a place of comfort

diah4 Says:

Apr 26, 2009 - The same jesus that describes the punishment, not hugs, for this type of behavior.

Jacksonholenativ Says:

Apr 26, 2009 - Absolutely not diah4 again there you go with your obsessive Pharisaical judging. You're addicted to judging people which is typical of the Talivangelicals (like the Taliban) who are so obsessed with judging people who are not like them.

Jacksonholenativ Says:

Apr 26, 2009 - Also diah4 this woman (transgendered person) was born genetically different. This is a biological issue (just like being a black person) you don't have a damned clue about. Are you a scientist or a physician? Do you even have a University education? If not, you don't have a leg to stand on. There was a time when American Evangelicals (i.e. Baptists, etc.) taught that it was righteous and God's will that African Americans were slaves. Man how these religious people try to control others.

BelleGuinness Says:

Apr 26, 2009 - Fundietards like you are a perversion. Anyone who follows the "morality" of a 3,000-year-old tribe of goat herders instead of modern science is a waste of skin.

yorubablk3 Says:

Apr 27, 2009 - diah:Not every one believes in the bible

diah4 Says:

May 1, 2009 - I understand that. I stated my view, and my view only. Like I said before, "Everyone will have to answer for their actions on judgement day."

diah4 Says:

May 1, 2009 - You obviously don't believe in the bible and that is your business. It's hilarious how you all are calling me judgemental, and your juding me on my beliefs. Being that you are ONLY man and imperfect like everyone else, why in the hell would I believe you over the supreme being who made all things? You can have your opinion and I will have mine.

diah4 Says:

diah4 Says:

May 1, 2009 - and another thing. NOT ONCE did I say she was a bad person. I pointed out what the bible says. So while your pointing the finger at me, there are 3 more pointing at you.

autumn59 Says:

May 1, 2009 - Actually, that's not what the Bible says about gender variant people. If you consider that castration would have been the only form of sex change operation available in Biblical times, Matthew 19:12, Acts 8, and Isaiah 56:3-8 say something different about transgender (and intersex) people than you think the Bible does.

Jacksonholenativ Says:

May 2, 2009 - No diah4 I don't believe in your interpretation of the Bible. In fact I think you need to get out of your narrow little world and start reading and learning about people who through no choice of their own are born into a different situation than what you can even begin to comprehend. Instead you play God and start judging these people. Jesus taught to love others and to not judge them.

karensred Says:

May 19, 2009 - God this was a horrible crime...I hope he has a miserable life.

Jul 21, 2009 - i feel so sorry for my family having to go through that. and watching my cousins going up there and giving that speech it must have been hard for them but my cousin angie will always be in my heart!!
