Nov 1, 2009 - It's an alternate universe that uses characteristics from both the Ultimate and the original (or Amazing) universe. I think the writers wanted to keep close to some of comic book origins of Spiderman but taking this route with Eddie Brock is alot better as it's alot more realistic why he'd begin to hate Peter so much.
