TheraminTrees Says:

Nov 1, 2009 - Actually the 'No True Scotsman' video's mine ;8) People sometimes get me and QualiaSoup mixed up. Understandable, as we're brothers.

TheraminTrees Says:

Nov 1, 2009 - Hey opterigon, I don't know if VyckRo's response to you came through, but it's been deleted — when I block that means I've blocked that person, not just that account, and all sock accounts used to come back will go the same way. All the best! ;8)

Nov 1, 2009 - ho that explains the similaroti of the voice tone, btw, months ago i asked ur brother ( or u i cant tell) for permision to uoload versions of ur videos whith spanish subtitles... since i got no reply i assumed a negative response so now i ask the same of you, i will take no ofense if the answer is no, it will only push me to do my own animations,,

TheraminTrees Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - 'i will take no ofense if the answer is no, it will only push me to do my own animations' —It's that sentence of yours that makes me want to say 'no', because if it pushes you to do your own animations, that would be great. I think YouTube can be a very stretching experience — it has been for me — and I love to see people experience that for themselves. But if you want to translate my videos into Spanish, all I ask is that you attach it to the original as a video response. All the best.

thecommercialedge Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - "Also demonstrates that you are afraid of truth, and that you do not have arguments" Did you mean the truth that you THINK you know? I don't see any proof of the truth you apparently speak. Thumbs down to you, sir.

sideous3 Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - I came into this video thinking it would be simply be another mans story of a fallout in belief due to inadequacies. However after watching this, I have come to realize this not so. You by yourself like myself challenged your own beliefs that were force fed into your minds eye as a child. A most Barbaric act indeed, the brainwashing of children is an atrocious act to me. I applaud you in your success to finding your own freedom like so few have. I wish others were as open-minded as you sir.

Nov 6, 2009 - My Christian mother found out I was an atheist today... I sent her this video, and I hope she can watch it and understand before making any sort of judgements about me not being a Christian. This video is awesome, thank you for posting.

TheraminTrees Says:

Nov 7, 2009 - I hope things work out well between you and your mother singinglawnchair. Best wishes.

Nov 14, 2009 - As a kid i had doubt so i just come up that if i cant find out if there a god or not then no one else can or will so there must not be a god out there cuase no one can prove it :3

Nov 14, 2009 - I'd really like it if I could embed your videos.. I'm liking to them.. but embedded is much nicer to see in a blog..

Nov 15, 2009 - Thanks, this framework is really useful :-)

vm7488 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - That's strange. Before I started doubting the dogmas, religions, and superstitious beliefs, I was a full pledge christian too. I memorised most of the important highlights of the bible (did you know that the bible stated that the earth was round, almost 2000 years before Ferdinand Magellan did? Anyway...) My transition was kind of different; When I watched Mr. Bill Maher's "Religulous", I begin to think about the logic of a divine being being flawed almost immediately... There were no (cont)

vm7488 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - ... there were no hard feelings no the depression nor doubt. It's as if I just laughed, "Haha... hahahaha! Wow! All those things I believed in was just fairy tales?!" It's like a waking up from a joke. Now I'm wondering... is there anything wrong with my psyche if my transition was that quick?

TheraminTrees Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Which bit of the bible are you talking about in regard to the earth being round — Isaiah refers to the 'circle of the earth', and to me, circles are flat; spheres, orbs, etc. are not. And do we then ignore other references to the 'four corners' of the earth in Isaiah and revelations — that seem to indicated a square?

TheraminTrees Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Nothing wrong with your psyche. The transition model used here is one that addresses major life transitions — for some, the transition to atheism is a big deal, with issues of identity investment and also social consequences to face; for others it just isn't that big — and hey, I think it's fantastic when it isn't!

bowlsallbroken Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - "I could say God is the null hypothesis baseline beyond which requires evidential support" I could say a microscopic purple monkey is the null hypothesis baseline beyond which requires evidential support. If we hold presuppositions that have no real convincing evidence supporting them as not only true but as the entire basis for our lives we become liable to swallow all sorts of utter BS. Reasoned thought requires we hold claims of some important teleological truth to standards of evidence.

happyidiottalk Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - I'm glad I found this video and saw the comments at the very start from other people questioning their belief. I've been looking at dozens of videos recently regarding religion and atheism. Some are supremely good and point out the silliness of religion. And yet there are plenty of religious types that simply dismiss it. Its nice to see that there are some out there that aren't so closed minded. If you're one of them, good for you!

Nov 22, 2009 - Your depiction and explanation were so well thought out that I felt I was travelling on the journey with you. That's a testament not only to your higher thought processes, but also your ability to describe them in good, plain yet concise English. Truly a 5* Excellent rating! :-)

TheraminTrees Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Thank you ArrestEric.

Nov 24, 2009 - Its nice to listen to such an articulate individual:) I, like your self and the late Mr. Carlin, have also entered the 'Age of Enlightenment'. It was quite interesting to find out who your real friends are and also interesting to see how many people concurred with my beliefs, or non-beliefs.
