Oct 29, 2009 - You can if you buy the 80gb PS3 rather than the 40GB one.

Edel99 Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - How and why is that? I mean, can't you just play them off the CD or do you need to 'install' those?

salamirterra Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - The emulation software just wasn't included in the 40gb ones, for no reason other than they wanted to sell more of the expensive 80GB ones. And no, you can't just play them off the disk; without software emulating the PS2's operating system it'd be like trying to play a video tape on a dvd player.

Edel99 Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - Wow! That sucks... I don't know if you've seen but the PCSX2 emulator is starting to run Snake Eater pretty well (just need heavy CPU). I'm just tired of all my games being 'fragmented' every time a new system comes out. PS2 played PS1 games no problem...

Nov 1, 2009 - ps1 games should work on all ps3's, ps2 games only worked on first and second generation ps3's, the third and fourth ( current) generations don't support any ps2 games

Edel99 Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - Trying to find one of those (original PS3s') are pretty tough... I read that the backward compatibility with the PS2 was purposely discontinued!

Krutchez89 Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - also if you have somthing called the "scanning plug", it works like how drebin tracks you, start by equipping the scanning plug then when you have them in choke hold instead of the knife slash, it will let you jab them with the scanning plug with triangle, hold it down and you will see near by enemy's (looks like the S.O.P scan on MGO

EdgeStorm3 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - mine plays ps2 liar lol.tenkaichi 3 looks kinda better.games that didnt work on ps2 work on ps3.memory card is literally 6000 times bigger now.take saves from net etc.

Aeromania187 Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - Okay, I got cqc 3 a long time ago but never bothered using it... Now is that I want to start using it, but only if I learn how to disarm. I tried it once just like it says in the video but it didn't work. Maybe I need to be quicker. Correct me if I'm wrong but do I quickly tap the R1 button 2 times to disarm then immediately hold the R1 button so they won't escape?

snakeeater1317 Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - great video man

Liikanen Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - you mean in MGO? If so then the disarm is automated. You just need to hit opponent with rifle or take in Choke hold to disarm. But in singleplayer you need to press R1 at right time to DA.
