Came back years later and a psychopath who wanted attention felt the need to do something heinous. At that point John said he was just a singer, nothing more. All the craziness was behind him. He laughed with Paul on the phone and couldn't wait to see him again in New York. Even his music had become mellower and more beautiful. Killed for nothing...

Oct 29, 2009 - The last ten years of his life he really was an approchable, NYC guy. All the footage shows him being friendly and down to earth. I also think that if he had lived after Double Fantasy, the Beatles would have reunited for shows. Lennon had come to grips with his legacy at 40.
