Nov 15, 2009 - I remember the exact time when this album came out. Great underrated album. John Sykes was a fantastic guitar player! Lost too early. Adrian and Vivan couldn't touch him. David coverdale fired each musician after they recorded their parts! Bet you didn't know that!!!!!

And there was actually a lot of shady stuff going with Sykes actually trying to make the record with a different singer after Coverdale was out of the game temporarily with a sinus injury. I too wish Sykes had stayed, but I'm not angry with Coverdale. Adrian and Vivian are great players (Vandenberg is, of course, better) and them playing together worked very well, as there was a lot of overdubbing of guitar parts on that album. John was great. But not untouchable.

Nov 19, 2009 - I'll admit sometimes they did sound a bit rushed, but alot of times he could run with the best of them live. I've seen a few of his live solos with Dio and they sounded pretty good, and the few solos I've seen him do with Def Leppard he can hold his own against Phil Collen and to me even has a better sound alot of times.
