Usually when a artist covers himself with a hood or vail, he is concealing his identity to shine more light on his artwork, it is popular in italy, parts of europe, on the other hand some musical artists, shroud their entire band or backup vocalists in shrouds to shine more light on them. Thats all it is, so now you know. Had he of worked on a white canvas he probably would of worn a white shroud.
