Oct 30, 2009 - i know, that part on the beach is the tragic end... ! the pure white shores is a common metaphor for heaven. if you notice it seems like a dream. and it doesn't quite make sense that the girl ends up there too... unfortunately, they both died in that castle, but are reunited somewhere in the afterlife. sorry to ruin what seemed like a happy ending :(

Nov 2, 2009 - Your interpretation doesn't = truth. It can be interpreted anyway one would like. I like to believe that SoTC is a happy ending as well as ICO. The goal of Sotc was reached, and you actually see ICO get put on a boat to escape. Also that beach can be found in the forbidden lands in Sotc.

Nov 2, 2009 - I realize that you didn't literal say your interpretation was truth but you implied from your post that it was a tragic end because you think them to be dead and that you apologized to those who think otherwise thinking that your tragic interpretation is the correct one. And also you are implying that there is indeed a metaphor to be find in the beach when many would argue that there isn't and that finding a deeper meaning in it would be taking it out of context.
