Oct 3, 2009 - alright old mate give me the meaning of "theory" in a scientific context

gagman385 Says:

Oct 3, 2009 - A scientific theory is not a "guess" or a "hunch" but is a vast body of knowledge that is deeply rooted in evidence that has been tested and retested by hundreds (and in some cases thousands) of people. The evidence, as a result, becomes so overwhelming that the said observations essentially become fact. I highly doubt that you would dismiss other scientific theories such as quantum theory, atomic theory, germ theory, or circuit theory.

gagman385 Says:

Oct 3, 2009 - Evolution has just as much evidence to support it as these other theories have to support them, but for some reason, you dismiss Evolutionary theory as being untested and "completely wrong." I have no problem with you holding religious beliefs, but those beliefs do not necessarily give you the license to ignore core scientific data just because it makes you uncomfortable. There are countless religious people that fully accept the Theory of Evolution simply because the evidence is to vast.

dracon56 Says:

Oct 4, 2009 - This is about the 9/11 attack not how the world start or gods real. Some of you dont say anything related to this

Jubilation Says:

Oct 5, 2009 - Really what is to say that Evolution and belief in god is not two sides of the same coin.

wheelchairballer Says:

Oct 5, 2009 - I belive this song means that if we dont stand togather as a nation of under god we will fall

kinbigbird Says:

Oct 6, 2009 - Thank You Phil Vassar Great Song

cryspenn Says:

Oct 6, 2009 - Beautiful song!!!! It means he is always there even as we look and walk past him. Instead we hurt each other and ourselves, but we need to remember, He is standing there with arms open waiting for us to change and put our lives that he gave us into his hands!

typeNtardis Says:

Oct 10, 2009 - Hey Phil... you're not god. You're Phil.

w0lfman1 Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - The fact that you think that Science and the theories is the main character in this picture is an example why everyone in this country is as ignorant as they are...and not many people dismiss the scientific facts given and proven...they just don't see it as a major factor in the whole world..there are a lot of things that science cannot contribute to...you can ask me to give all kinds of examples..but that just means that you are ignorant and think you have something to prove...

w0lfman1 Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - Also why does the science behind this seem so shaky...how does a planet of rock and lava become what it is today....especially if it was so close to the sun...science only speculates on 3/4 of what is out there...

gagman385 Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - Why don't you learn something about science first before posting ridiculous questions like that for the entire world to see.

BADbadgerrr Says:

Oct 20, 2009 - This video is about how God walks towards us and we walk right by. Even the religious people walk right by as well. There are people who need him the most and don't turn to him and try to do it alone. The little girl at the end accepts God and she goes on in life with God by her side.

cullenist77 Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - what a good way to put it!

jwhaler82 Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - I always thought of it as God's preaching to us but no one cares. But I like your explanation better.

w0lfman1 Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - because i don't need to have more than six years of learning about the world and the science behind it. Are you a science major in anyway? The fact that the worlds Scientists cannot explain half of what is out there even though they run millions of tests and think they got the answer is ridiculous.... the only thing it shows is that science like god, is never gonna be figured out. I believe that less than half the world is science and the rest is all god or whatever you believe in.

w0lfman1 Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - you explanations are both very good. They complete each other. God calls to us as he walks by. Kinda like the blind beggar who is asking for help. No matter how loud he goes we still do not listen and we walk right by him. The little girl symbolizes the innocence and the potential we still have. We just have to stop and look and listen... Things would be so much better for us if we did. No more fighting or rudeness in the world. For those who don't agree... GROW UP FOR GOD'S SAKE

gagman385 Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - There you go proving my point that you have absolutely no idea how science works. This is the easiest debate I've ever had.

greghhepburn Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - hahaha... this made me laugh. i was thinking that as i was watching it

princessofhesse Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - science and religion are worlds apart, even though i believe science plays its part in religion to a degree....religion is faith, faith in things you cannot see, touch or feel....God...in my small opinion, i think that's what this video says...Phil Vassar just says it better than do I....

gagman385 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - That's nice, flowery language, but proof speaks volumes. By your definition, faith is believing in something for which one has absolutely no proof. There is no virtue in that, only absurdity.

princessofhesse Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - no flower involved, friend.....the very definition of faith is believing in something unseen. to ridicule another's beliefs speaks volumns of your own ignorance....

gagman385 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Yeah, uh, I just told you that adhering to faith based on your definition is ridiculous. You should read my responses more carefully. I am always amused that people like you call me ignorant for criticizing their beliefs. I'm sorry to tell you, but your religion is not immune to criticism. If you can't take it, then I would suggest not making stupid comments about the virtues of faith for everyone to see.

boondocksaint1968 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Catholic church, by the Greek church by the Muslim church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Muslim appear to me no other than human inventions set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit I believe in one God, and no more and I hope for happiness beyond this life
