Sep 21, 2009 - 2:52 on the right, what is that long stretched object?

Rabastan Says:

Sep 22, 2009 - Really awesome! But it didn't have the omega cluster like other one! Why??

Rabastan Says:

Sep 22, 2009 - I think they are two galaxies which light is curved by the presence of dark matter in that cluster of galaxies. That effect is known as "gravitational lens" There are also many others stretched objects in that same frame due to the same effect. Try to look for them.

Alexandru017 Says:

Sep 23, 2009 - the light was bend becouse of a strong gravity pull,it's a normal galaxy

Sep 23, 2009 - Did I understand you to say (on one of your video's) that this was the last scheduled mission to the Hubble? Does that mean they are never going to go back and keep it tuned up? Or that they will just wait for something to break and then schedule a fixer-upper visit?

tobesters Says:

Sep 25, 2009 - Nicely done... it really puts some context into those already amazing images. Thanks

dutchbhproduction Says:

Oct 4, 2009 - afaik the government doesn't want to spend any money anymore to service it and keep it in working order. 2010 will see the end of Hubble, unless they change their minds. A sad loss to us all.

codachrome123 Says:

Oct 8, 2009 - Yes this was the last ever mission to the Hubble since they are planning on decommisioning the shuttle program next year.
