The Typhoon is a multi-role fighter and can double easily for strike duties, which is why the explicitly mentioned STRIKE fighter. Because it is the most advanced strike fighter in the world. Sure, the F-22 Raptor can do super cruise and the SU-37 Super Flanker has mind-blowingly insane agility, but they're still not strike fighters, especially the F-22 despite the capacity for JDAMS.

But it was really inevitable. The Typhoon was bound to win. But it was kinda close though with the Veyron coming behind more or less 3 seconds. Hmm... Now I just wonder if it was the Stig driving the Veyron and they got a slightly slower plane from the RAF inventory.
