Oct 27, 2009 - the plot is so simple, its a "boy meets girl" plot with an evil queen and a damsel in distress yet the game made these cliche stuff into an epic, awesome, heatbreaking, tear jerking game EVER!!!! the game makes you bond with the characters emotionally.

Nov 7, 2009 - Legacy of Kain did not have the same impact Ico did though. Graphics alone doesn't make a game better. Sure, Kain has better graphics, but Ico is still the better game. Epic story, great puzzle gameplay and people still put Ico among the top when talking about some of the best games Sony ever had on any of its systems. Legacy of Kain was good, but never that good. Ico ironically was one of the first games release for the Ps2 and man did it set a high standard for every other game afterward.

What great puzzle did it had? Should I talk about the terrible voice acting and the lack of music or the fights against shadows? I think you replied to me after having see some ign and gamespot lists but never played one of the LoK series games. Great voice acting, plenty of riddles, lots of enemies and deep and complicated storyline

Nov 11, 2009 - Ico was able to take an overhashed/overused plot (boy meets girl, boy falls in love while rescuing said girl) and turns it into an amazing experience that goes far beyond what anyone expected, especially the ending. You ask me what great puzzles it had...dude the ENTIRE GAME is one huge puzzle after puzzle after puzzle that challenges you, forces you to think and think and just when you think you have it figured out, the game changes the rules.

Nov 11, 2009 - Other games have followed that same formula with success (Tomb Raider for example) in which the puzzles/exploration are the main focus of the game, not combat. The game also does a great job of attaching you to the characters, especialy the princess. It gets nerve racking trying to do a puzzle that requires you to be seperated from her and knowing you'd better hurry up or random spawns will end ur game real quick. The fights with shadows are really just to break the monotony.

Nov 11, 2009 - I mean, you can't have a game where you are being pursued and NOT have enemies come at you from time to time, but again thats not what the game's focus is. That's why Ico is pretty much invincible (unless he falls to his death, it happens) and why he has crappy weapons: it's to get you through those parts while relatively giving you a decent challenge. The voice acting to me was ok. I mean you had the captions that where in Greek for all knew. But it becomes english after you beat the game.

And also, I'm not bashing LOK. It's a great game, and I had fun playing it at my friend's house just 2 days ago. It's just my opinion that Ico was a bit better, that's all.
