Oct 29, 2009 - i suspect noel redding isn't actually too bitter about anything anymore... they all worked well with the hendrix idea of the moment, buddy miles, billy cox, mitch and noel.. all complimenting an amazing guitarist-and great musicians in their own rights.

gewoongijs Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - your totally right men Hendrix wanted to play this sort of music because it felt good for him and if you listen you can hear how much feeling there is in this i love it!!!

vinegaroon1 Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - I think some of the chronology is wrong, Noel left the band not long after Electric Ladyland, He said he felt Jimi's attention to the hangers-on was getting in the way of his ( Noel's) career as a musician. Mitch stayed on for a good while. He played at Woodstock, summer of '69 and for several gigs afterward. I think Mitch was the drummer at the Isle of Wight concert not long before Jimi died. All of them are dead now, of course.

Nov 8, 2009 - i own this album! definitely one of my favorite hendrix songs and my favorite album of his.

jsupe Says:

Nov 8, 2009 - Noel left after the Denver Mile High stadium riot/concert. Well after EL was recorded/released. Mitch stayed on until the Fall of '69 when BOG was in the studio. Mitch would play with Jack Bruce, Mike Mandel, Larry Coryell in Jack Bruce and friends. He rejoined the band in early February of '70 when Jeffries fired Buddy Miles after the MSG BOG concert. The "Cry of Love" group was formed with Mitch, Billy and Jimi until his death in Sept. 70. The last official gig was in Germany in September 70.

billberends Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - BoG made some great music but who cares what Slash has to say about it... he was what, 5 years old at the time? Give me a break. And who is that other guy? If anything BoG was when Hendrix really started to experiment, laying jazz riffs over heavy funk... too bad we'll never know what it may have led to, tho' Rainbow Bridge gave some indication. Somehow I have the feeling Jimi would have really embraced the fusion of Mahavishnu and other bands of that era. Imagine that.

motorcityrobbie Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - what did slash cut down BOG with, is he high,he owes his whole sound to Jimi, I would include mahavishnu but I dont think he quite gets it... To bad, I kinda liked him

datboicuz Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - jimi is a god... period!
