And black males make up a significanltly higher proportion of the prisoner population than their minority status. What could all of the baffling statistics mean!? I would suggest that it means that society is run by rich white people for their own benefit, although class rather than colour is always the most important consideration in these matters.

This is what most governments do in most advanced countries,they provide essential services from taxes. So governement can and does do that. Governments have social responsibilites that private individuals do not, hence the current capitalist clusterfuck and government bailouts. Keep the country prosperous? Nah..
