ddhitman Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Slash is a toddler compared to Steve Vai He's an Overrated Guitar Player. Dont get me wrong he has skills but nothing compared to Steve Vai

Forza1315 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Vai always the best

koorilad2006 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - actually Vai played both parts.

berryola Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Commenting strictly from a movie goer's perspective...Yeah, sunshine was phucked on the Classical Geet-tar riff*Exit stage right*...that was some Kah-Razy S***. Karate kid saved by the muscial sensei....Yeah I also heard that Steve Vai played both parts. Phenomenal!

NHfiddle Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - It never ceases to amaze me how Steve Vai can fail at failing(already mentioned I know)but its true, he does a lousy job at failing.

BigDawg69wh2 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - except for the slide. that was ry cooder

davizm Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - I've seen Steve Vai live - he's a showman and incredible musician

BucksStudent Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - They're both overrated. Slash has the feel that Vai doesn't have, though. For The Love of God is nothing compared to Sweet Child o Mine's emotion. I like both, but I'd rather listen to Slash's ramblings than Vai any day.

krsna17 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - what is this elusive "feel" you speak of? i need to know more...

BucksStudent Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Feel is emotion. It's something a lot of guitar players lack. They spend too much time practicing scales, but never really express feelings.

michaeltd787 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Never seen the movie...so Steve Vai is the guy with the red guitar?

Pho3nix117 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - Yes

krsna17 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - really? im sorry dude but i feel there is more to music than rock and blues ie slash playing rock riffs and solos in the pentatonic box... and in that case i would say slash is the less expressive player...

BucksStudent Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - If you're going to talk about music, Steve Vai is also not the place to look. I find his solo records very boring, and a great lack of any good song writing. Joe Satriani would be my pick in the MUSIC department. I never said Slash was a great player, anyway, just that he had more feel than Vai. A feel, any emotion, is always present in MUSIC.

johnnyrotten33 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - LOL! Legendary scene! I know how Vai's character feels every time I play!

soblueimblack Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - He got most of the actual "fingering" correct, as he was taught by guitar guru, Arlen Roth, for the film. However, he was not actually capable of playing the guitar that well, in such a short span of time from when he was taught.

Mra393 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Wat movie is this?

kylemcking1234 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - @RaveSnoreThrong Definitely. I could hear the crowd yelling "a huh huh huh a huuh" in my mind :P

agcatdriver Says:

DoubleIntruder Says:
