Oct 8, 2008 - When Andrew wood died, Chris cornell, who was his friend and roomate, wrote 2 songs in tribute to him:Say hello 2 heaven and Reach down. he got stone gossard and jeff ament, who where in Mother love bone and where at the time starting pearljam, and matt cameron, who drums wit chris for soundgarden to record it with him. the group ended up recording a whole record. mike mcreedy is also on the album (his first ever recorded leads or on reach down) and eddie vedder sings backup on some tracks.

Nov 14, 2009 - Andrew Wood indeed! The man inspired so many of the musicians and their music at that time and after - I mean look at this Temple Of The Dog effort from '91, an excellent album. Gotta be up there as one of the best tribute albums anywhere on the planet - this is how much Andy Wood and his band inspired people. Check out Mother Love Bone's only release Apple from '90 and you'll understand the respect the man commanded in his way, way too short a time with us.
