Aug 28, 2009 - A little unnecesary, given that across the world, bore riders have respect for each others home waves. But yeh, much bigger most of the time. Report from Sergio Laus says that this wave topped 7 metres on the face at one point this year. For the record, the biggest the Severn has been this year is just over 2 metres. Look out for video of the Chinese bore ,which will get huge over the next couple of months.

Oct 20, 2009 - For sure that's a great section, but it's not at all uncommon to see tidal bores as clean as this. I think that they tend to get filmed from the same locations though, which means that those who don't surf them regularly never get to see the best of them.
