Nov 18, 2009 - The truth is that the Bible has proven itself false over and over again and the story of some Jesus having died for all of us is as real as any childrens story is. It's really too bad that the Harry Potter books were not authored 2000 years ago when people wouldn't scrutinize such stories because we could have had a much better religion today coming out of it. Now we have to live with this crap of a Bible that is even worse nonsense than Harry Potter.

Nov 18, 2009 - Lastpaw, actually I indeed respect people of all faiths, colors and sexual orientation. I've been to 41 countries and visited many religious sites of various faiths (incl. the Vatican, Bethlehem, many Buddhist temples etc.). I have friends who are gays and often find them to be some of the most kind and unselfish people. I voted against proposition 8 here in California BTW. It's a great shame when religion becomes divisive for whatever reason. We are all equal of value!

Are they going to hell just because they don't care about some particular God? Of course not. Hell is just a psychological tool used in many religions to create a sense of fear from not following the rules. The concept existed in religions before Christianity was "invented". It's 100% imaginary.
