Sep 11, 2009 - i love the outro dave and tim do when they play this, its great.

nrlsky Says:

Sep 17, 2009 - I didn't know Dave used auto tune live, doesn't change anything of course. Great performance.

magggx Says:

Sep 29, 2009 - ????

nrlsky Says:

Sep 29, 2009 - What are you asking King Question Mark?

magggx Says:

Sep 29, 2009 - when is he using autotune??

nrlsky Says:

Sep 29, 2009 - The entire song. But, he sings in key the entire time, so you can not tell - except from 1:29-1:35. You can blatantly hear it there.

magggx Says:

Sep 29, 2009 - i dont see how you can tell hah- i'm not doubting you- just curious as to how you can hear it. what is it supposed to sound like- just exactly in tune?

BallerMcBaller3 Says:

Sep 29, 2009 - This is a really good version

jcinberkeley Says:

Oct 1, 2009 - I seriously doubt he uses autotune... using autotune implies that he would have to know when in the song he wants to change a note (otherwise he would have to input that to the autotuner), and he improvises a bunch (changing notes and words outside of the time signature). Do you know how auto tune works? It doesn't know what notes you want to hit, you have to input this...

nrlsky Says:

Oct 1, 2009 - I don't want to turn this into a debate or anything, and I regret my initial comment, because it detracts from the music. That being said, yes, I know how auto-tune works. I've work in a small studio. And, you are actually quite wrong about the program. You only need to input the key you are singing in; it adjusts any "sour notes" to that key. Key signature is irrelevant.

Ahsfb61 Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - Dave often sings without pitch, and often slurs from one note to another. It's not possible for dave to be using autotune in this video.

MrCopperhead1861 Says:

Oct 25, 2009 - :D is all I can say

RhythmRiff Says:

Oct 25, 2009 - wow if u really think dave would ever use auto tune..... listen to him sing, you've gotta be kiddin me

abbottgr Says:

Nov 1, 2009 - on the subject of autotune...theres no autotune on live performances, but when the concert is mastered for a dvd or cd release they fix up the vocals so they sound better. If you get a tapers pull of a show that is also released on a live cd or dvd you can hear the difference

jsltm888 Says:

Nov 7, 2009 - If you think Dave uses autotune then you need to go to one of his concerts. You'll know he doesn't when you hear him. He's an incredibly talented musician and doesn't need autotune to sound good, unlike many of the mainstream artists today.

RuthlessToothless89 Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - umm no disrespect but they use autotune live ..i know a guy in a band and his lead singer uses autotune, i hate it but live its still there. unless its something else idk.

abbottgr Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - that may be true, but dmb does not use autotune in live shows. If they did, dave would sound much better. He misses a lot of high notes when he yells and wails in a lot of songs. Im telling you, get a tapers pull and a cd release...the difference is clear.

RuthlessToothless89 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - oh no for sure i know dave doesnt use it ..he doesnt need to ha ..i was just jumping into the middle of the conversation haha im not a big fan of autotune.

SotaBoyOG Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - hmm 1:29-1:35 does sound like an autotune. but it was just a funky thing he did with his voice, ik he doesnt use an autotune.
