Sep 22, 2009 - i understand that im male and i think of myself as male, and i very much would have a problem if that part of me were lost or damaged, my question is why change whats downstairs, i dont think it can be undone and well it feels good to have and has its uses..:) but seriously not only is it damaging but can they really even feel anything sexual down there? when we see people and judge if they are male or female none of us look at someones crotch, we look at body frame, face, lips, breast, etc.
LaFondaBHH Says:
Sep 23, 2009 - NightMoon, surgery on a whole is a very personal a private thing, and to many of us, Sex reassignment is a very large step, and many of us feel complete with it, Its kinda like having a cyst, or a hideous part on your body you cannot stand to be honest, in my opinion. And as for feeling after surgery the vagina is fully functional sensitive, and to a gyneacologist almost impossible to tell the diffrence, sexual we can reach orgasm after surgery.
ActivistRuth Says:
Sep 28, 2009 - Hi Nightmoon11, you're right that people don't tend to look at others' crotches in everyday situations, and this is why social transition - and hormone treatment for those who want medical intervention - is usually more important for transsexed people. For many of us though, our genitals remain deeply uncomfortable. We are "damaged" pre-op in that our minds and genitals aren't aligned. Postop I have feeling still sex is way better! Genital surgery isn't right for all transsexed people though.

Oct 1, 2009 - dont worry i dont hate u,,,i like transgender like u...u r stronger girl..i think i like u...
NaturalGrace Says:
Oct 16, 2009 - Because they aren't really male at all. Transsexuals have the brain development of the opposite sex... that is, this person's brain is female. Scientists know this because they've been able to induce this condition in animals by manipulating hormones during fetal development. How would you feel if you had a vagina? Even if their was nothing wrong with it, wouldn't you still want a penis as a man? Most people can still orgasm and have sexual pleasure after surgery.
gOtHiCxAnGeLxox Says:
Oct 19, 2009 - I was I was born a transsexual. Because for some reason I really want to be a boy...I dunno why, though. Either way, SHE is very pretty and she seems lovely. I highly doubt she'll have any problems in life. ^^

Oct 24, 2009 - Ever looked yourself in the mirror realised that your face looked Ozzy back in 1971-72.............I wish I had your face !!! :)
ActivistRuth Says:
Oct 24, 2009 - I found a photo of my mum in the late 60s where she looked like Ozzy. I was disturbed.
Darthwarp7 Says:
Oct 25, 2009 - So ActivistRuth , are you not the same person as on the video...or are you?
ActivistRuth Says:
Oct 25, 2009 - I am the person in the video. I've inherited some of my looks from my mum probably.

Nov 1, 2009 - I used to feel that way, but i beat it, because I know what is right and what is wrong morally
fireflygirl246 Says:
Nov 1, 2009 - I hate to break it to you if you really felt this way there would be no way to "beat it", with out you lying to yourself. I tried it for 7 years, lied to myself , I loved my girlfriend and thought it would be better for everyone in my life to just be male. Guess what the feelings never went away. I was wrong, it was not better for me, it was hell. I would like to know how being a transgendered person is morally wrong?? what is so horrible about trying to be yourself?
fireflygirl246 Says:
Nov 1, 2009 - Ive been living full time for over 2 years and the biggest reason i want to have SRS, is so I can wear a bathing suit and go to the pool as the real me. As soon as the bandages come off and my doctor clears me to go swimming I'm headed right for the pool :). But I agree even though i pass most of the time and live full time as woman, not to mention being excepted by all the important people in my life, Its still deeply uncomfortable, I don't feel like a whole person yet.

Nov 3, 2009 - As far as morals go, it depend on what you believe.
ActivistRuth Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - Make sure you get that clearance from the doctor fireflygirl: you've basically got the equivalent of an open wound right now, so you want to be very careful with it for a bit! Being able to actually go swimming is awesome though :)
mosstick Says:
Nov 11, 2009 - so how many times or how much time did you have to see your psycitrest doctor "forgive me if i spell it wrong", im MTF and im geting eletrolisis done already . iv come out to pritty much everyone i know but i havent got any counsoling yet.
umbrellashade Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - I agree with you, fireflygirl. People are naturally cruel to people different from themselves. They are usually ignorant. Be yourself and keep your chin up, girl!
umbrellashade Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - What is immoral about trying to be yourself, will? People cannot change their inner feelings, no matter how hard they try and trying to suppress them only makes things worse.

Nov 17, 2009 - Didn't the gay minister from South Park say the same thing?
ActivistRuth Says:
Nov 23, 2009 - Assuming you like in the UK: if you want to go on hormones and stuff, I'd recommend getting a referral to a psychiatrist (who can, in turn, refer you to a gender clinic) as soon as possible. The waiting lists can be vast, although they vary depending on the area of the country. I was in therapy or on various waiting lists for around three years, and then went to the Charing Cross gender clinic for a little over two years. I was lucky: others take onger to make it through the (broken) system.

Sep 18, 2009 - these procedures and treatments ARE lifesaving, like said in other comments, suicide is a seriously high ratio in this community because being anything else is so very painful
