Because no matter how you burn a CD, it cannot and will not bypass the liscensing protection, you need to have an original Gameshark PSX CD, not a burned one. However, if you only want the codes? Hell yeah, it should work.

Oct 14, 2009 - yes it will, when you use codes with a gameshark, it angers the video game gods and they will forever f**k you for life... naw, the gameshark only writes data to the RAM, which is the internal memory of the PS1 itself, the RAM stores the data of a game as its being processed, so after turning off your PS1 the RAM will be cleared of all game data.
