Jul 9, 2009 - When you lock the kimura you should push with your feet to force your back to the mat to get your hips out farther and achieve and angle on the opponent to get a tighter more effective lock. And the arm should be kept at a 90degree angle. This will tear the shoulder, going up the spine as the first women does is not effective on some people.

Jul 28, 2009 - Its nice to see the guy get beat up for once lol.

rpv1986 Says:

Aug 7, 2009 - I think most men who have been in a gym can agree, it is REALLY rare to find girls this hot training.. Why not my gym?!?!?

jonezysan Says:

Aug 24, 2009 - I do bjj, and I'd have to say you're mistaken if you think strength and conditioning play no part. I'm sure a 10 year old could put an arm bar on me with extraordinary technique but I'm fairly certain I would still kick his ass. Strength is important, it's not everything, but you need a certain amount of it. Certainly not bodybuilder strength by any means but stamina is incredibly important and strength has it's rolls

Glenn1967ful Says:

Aug 29, 2009 - oh come on, man, surely the looks of the females didn't make you decide to do a martial art. However, I can see the appeal of being thrown and wrestled to the ground by a good looking hard bodied female. In my judo club we had the rock hard woman with the strength of three men and she was murder on the mat.

langying Says:

Sep 2, 2009 - even at the risk of losing use of one or more of your limbs, or being strangled?

0593947 Says:

Sep 14, 2009 - this technique works well but you need to do it fast because it wont work if the opponent is strong...

voldo2006 Says:

Sep 15, 2009 - Very true....This might have been more true before BJJ blew up in the US. I use to grapple people who were way stronger and have good skill but couldn't last more then a few mins before they burned out. One thing for sure is relax, not be all tense and control your breathing, this will help you last longer. I stop doing this stuff back in 2002. I liked it when it wasn't as main stream. Now i see people running around with "Tapout" shirts. I remember when they were just a web sight first.

YamaAndBudhi Says:

Sep 16, 2009 - Strength plays a role until you learn proper technique. I think one of the problems with Bjj as opposed to more traditional jujitsu systems is that they start people sparring to early so they develop bad habits, like cheating with strength.

cannabischarlie Says:

Sep 23, 2009 - it isnt the perfect martial art for women by a long shot. it might be effective in those situations where you go to the ground but BJJ is simply a complementary aret and only works in MMA matches, no one should TRY to go to the ground and BJJ has no real strikes, its impractical for the vast majority of situations and it takes 5 times the energy to fight on the ground.

much2keen2002 Says:

Sep 25, 2009 - You've obviously not fought or grappled with anyone who has practiced brazillion juijitsu for a fair amount of time or you would never say that. I have rarely seen a fight that hasn't went to the ground at some point and If you can't box or strike very well standing up, it is very easy to pull guard on a person that has not practiced the ground game and submit him quickly.

thetornprince138 Says:

Sep 27, 2009 - i have been training BJJ for 4 years and i have to say you are wrong. BJJ does not work in "only MMA matches" in fact it works better in other fight situations. A person should not pull guard on purpose, but take it to the ground yes they should. most people cant fight and even less can fight on the ground. if you can fight on the ground, take the fight there. no jiu jitsu has no strikes but watch all the gracie tapes, they never cared about strikes.

OldSkoolAngel Says:

Oct 6, 2009 - Here's the thing, if there's more than one person about to beat you on the street, the moment you hit the ground, you'd be in a dog pile.

acquiesce100 Says:

Oct 10, 2009 - And you are pissed - a girl at our club saved her life by not being raped because of BJJ - she put the fucker in the triangle. It is the best for women - period

WaDarkPhoenix Says:

Oct 18, 2009 - Why not? Brazilian jiu jitsu is perfect for women because the positions that are involved are like those that a woman would be in if attacked. Rape happens, and theyre going to have their legs open, BJJ can take it from a humiliating, psychologically damaging experience to a broken arm for the attacker and no harm to the female.

SpearofDestiny0 Says:

Oct 19, 2009 - OMG her shoulder coulda popped out of place there lol

kloud51 Says:

Oct 20, 2009 - I promote bjj for "self defense" but a kimura from the guard is not a good move for a girl to use on a guy. Guys are too strong for a kimura. BUT, there is a ton of other good submissions that a girl could easily do to a guy from guard. This is not one of them.

zanpaktuh Says:

Oct 20, 2009 - please some woman do that to me, even my arm breaks!!

TheMetalist83 Says:

Oct 20, 2009 - I would think for this situation something like a triangle or cross collar choke (if they're wearing substantial clothing would be good)

rofldan Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - you couldn't be more wrong in your asumption.

rofldan Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - theres a couple at my gym that do lol. You just have to find the right gym

iknowurmombiblically Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - I love how people diss jiujitsu by replying with "if more than one person about to beat you on the street" F*ck dude. If multiple people attack you, then you are screwed regardless. Everyone is a critic.

tattle66 Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - Do you think someone is just going to let you do that without a fight. A fist to the ribs or the head would put most women out of commission. Much better to have a carry conceal permit.
