Mar 26, 2009 - The dance was set to follow the melody, like a number of the other more modern Romann dances. If you can find another melody with a simular tempo and melody structure.

Jul 21, 2009 - why are they dancing sarba at the gypsy camp?? sarba is not a gypsy dance, it is a romanian dance...
royisdancing Says:
Jul 21, 2009 - The name of our weekend dance camp was Gypsy Camp North. It is a teaching folk dance weekend in the California Sierra Nevada Mountains, where many types of international dance was taught and done. Because of all the misunderstandings produced by the name Gypsy Camp, we have change the name to Dance in the Woods.

Sep 2, 2009 - There is no "Sârba bătută". Is only "Bătută". And yes, you need a song/tune with certain beat to dance it. Bătută's tempos can vary. "Sărba" has another beat and also many tempos and is danced in another manner. I hope my explanation was clear enough and helped. Good luck.

Oct 14, 2009 - Prin trnslation Google.

Oct 22, 2009 - De acord. Sanatate!

Oct 26, 2009 - Superb, only you didn't changed the tags, the romania and romanian tags are completely missing while there is gipsy everywhere, if you like gipsy music then listen and dance on shukar colective because this dance has nothing to do with the gypsyes.
royisdancing Says:
Oct 27, 2009 - Okay I have removed Gypsy Camp from the tags and added Romanian to both the tags and the info.

Mar 26, 2009 - Yes, the dance does seem to be easy to do. So, does the dance ONLY get danced to THIS music or can you do the very same dance with music that is similar in tempo? In Yiddish dancing, we do not need specific tunes. So, a freylekhs is danced to many different freylekh tunes. Israeil dances are specific to each song/tune. Now, how about Sarba Batuta? THANKS!
