Sep 6, 2009 - Actually I remember when this song first came out, in the 70's I still had hair at the time. And I remember the heat he got from it. People wanted the song banned back then. Of course people were so enraged from the first verse, they didn't pay attention to the second verse: "short people are just the same as you and I, all men are brothers til the day they die." Still my conservative father didn't want me playing that song in the house, or on the piano.
