Nov 22, 2009 - I never grow tired of listening/watching the 'Stripes. Pure expressive energy...very much like an uninhibited painter at work on a wild abstract! So..what's the framed picture on the amp in the background?

Dancolehawk Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - the amazing thing is he can play guitar incredibly well, while singing, without playing super crazy dungeons and dragons power-metal.

uncleruckus516 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - lol the black keys are not the real blues. influenced by the blues yes, but they're just rock now basically. howlin wolf, little walter...they're real. oh and this song is amazing.

favre4ever1995 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - that is true, albeit their first and second albums: (the big come up and thickfreakness respectively) were striaght up in your face blues rock. and i concur this song is incredible.

Houdini116 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - Have you ven heard the Black Keys' first three albums? To say the majority of those songs aren't blues I think is incorrect. They do the same stuff as the Stripes in that they cover some blues songs from old artists. Dan Auerbach cites his influences as Bukka White, Charlie Patton, Blind Lemon Jefferson, even more modern blues artists like Junior Kimbrough and R.l. Burnside. Look up "everywhere I go" "Stack shot Billy" "Yearnin" and the list goes on to backup that they're blues.

KOL1402 Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - both the white stripes and the black keys are blues and rock geniuses

uncleruckus516 Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - yes i have heard the black keys first three albums. i live in cleveland, less than an hour from where they live. ive seen them at bars with less than 5 people watching, now they're selling out theatres left and right. yeah their first three albums were solid, but they will never be the same black keys again, well at least as long as they're with danger mouse they wont be.

jager18903 Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - I wonder if Jack White even knows the impact of this set he did on VH-1. This stuff NEEDS to be on VINYL !
