The politacal machine has not existed in Chicago since the early 1900s and I am going to asume you actually have any idea what a polotical machine is so I will explain them for you. A politcal machine is when recent immigrants are offerd jobs and housing by a city boss and in return they must vote for the mayor that the boss wants them to.
