Nov 15, 2009 - Carly Simon wrote the song about James Taylor way back in the early 70s when I was a kid. She was married to him and wrote the song your'e so vain to poke James Taylor after the divorce. James Taylor is gifted but so is Carly Simon. The marriage didn't last.

Nov 16, 2009 - As far as folk/folk rock artist go...I have James after 1. Neil Young, 2. Bob Dylan, 3. Cat Stevens, 4. Jim croce, 5. James Taylor...and that isn't an insult at all...he is up there with with them, (well maybe not Young and Dylan, but who really is? they basically piss genius lol) and I find it ridiculous that not only had his voice not only not changed, but he's actually a better singer here then he was in 1970...that's just fucking amazing.
