Oct 10, 2008 - how long does the run last on an average year? was that taken over a few days? great job guys. lots of fun to watch.
oranse Says:
Oct 10, 2008 - The run is different every year. Some years it seems like it lasts a month, other times it last 48 hours. Filming took place over 3 straight days.

Oct 24, 2008 - I was out today. I saw some large schools of mullet. What I was wondering is, I noticed you guys threw all the mullet in an empty bucket with no water. Do you fish them live? or dead?
oranse Says:
Oct 24, 2008 - Both. That bucket on the beach is just to gather them up, then we put them in a proper well. Tarpon are opportunistic , so they eat a dead one, and they like heads.
oranse Says:
Oct 24, 2008 - Live bait hook or circle hook. This is Fort Lauderdale beach.

May 16, 2009 - if you were a real man you would do it with a fly rod. try pullin 100+ pound tarpon off the beach with an 10 weight. then come with some spin gear.
oranse Says:
May 16, 2009 - We cant afford that expensive fly gear. Post up the video.
jsg2891 Says:
Jul 18, 2009 - richy rich fly rod snobs, i've never seen anybody get snooks like the one @ 3:20 on a fly rod..thats probably the most beautiful fish i've seen, besides the 40-50 pounders around the matlacha bridge until all the idiots come scare them the tarpon cobia off with cast nets and other commotion..1 day or night nobody else will be down there i'm gonna get me one or two of them big snooks, you gotta see these lunkers to believe it, they're so big they look like cobia until you see their sides
